Marquette Manor in South Milwaukee, WI

After 20 years of taking care of my mom, we decided it would be best for her to start living on her own. It was a tough transition, but [Removed], the manager, made it so easy for her to feel at home. She addresses concerns and needs right away and makes sure that all of the residents feel included. Even as my mom and I were taking a tour, we could hear people saying how much they loved it there. The residents are pretty friendly and there are plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained like going to different stores, card games, and crafts. Sometimes they’ll get food catered, but usually they hand out calendars with the events planned for that month which is nice. This community is independent living, but they keep everything pretty clean outside of the apartments. The hallways and lobby are always nice, [Removed] even decorates the lobby, and the grounds are lovely. I worked in nursing homes for 20 years, so I know what to expect and what to look for and I’m glad that we decided on Marquette Manor. For the price, there are a lot of great aspects of living there. My mom loves that she can have her dog, and she has her own patio that she can sit on. She’s getting everything she needs and all of her questions are being answered, not to mention that the apartments are huge. I would definitely recommend Marquette.
