Journeys Crossing in Elkton, VA

My mother was at Journeys for quite some time. All the staff from housekeeping to kitchen workers treated her like family. The activity director was amazing with the elderly. She was loved and well cared for. Would not hesitate to recommend the facility to others. She enjoyed the food. It is a great place to be when you can no longer care for yourself.

Royal Care at Birch Ridge in Staunton, VA

The staff is great. Things I think could be improved is... My brother is in a wheelchair. He is a stroke patient. They have carpet on the floors which makes it near impossible for him to maneuver around. Also. I think any facility should have automatic doors. As most patients need assistance with walking. A covering for pick up and drop off would be very helpful. Once again. The staff is great.

It is still a bit of an adjustment process for my husband with his move to this community. He has his bad days, and his good days. However I will say the staff is doing a good job taking care of him, and his needs. It's not home, but I know he is safe, and in good hands overall. They recently changed ownership of the community. So there is still some growing pains. They have a great new activities director. The meals are nice. I know he is receiving good care at this community, and I would recommend it.
