My mother does not require a lot of "hands on" care at present. I don't have enough knowledge of what alternative offerings might be when it comes to the activities. The value for cost seems high but apparently in-line with other facilities in this area. However we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.
Overall our experience with Superior Woods was a good one. It's a very neat, nice looking place, and I never noticed any odors (which was a problem with others I saw). The staff was fabulous, the people were all very kind and caring. They really bent over backwards to be accommodating! They did not have a place to call on weekends that you could talk with someone as how he was doing that day. The food was average. It's not particularly luxurious, but they provide friendly, quality care, and a good atmosphere.
My loved one is currently a resident at Quality Care of Howell and everything has been great for her at this community so far. The cleanliness and friendliness are great. The care services, meals, activities and value for cost are also great. [Name removed] is a very genuine person and cares very much for his residents. We are thrilled with our loved one's care at Quality Care of Howell and would recommend them to others.

My parents were there on a respite stay. So it was nice to not have to bring furniture. I think the services were different for respite stay versus permanent stay.
