Inspirations Memory Care

We toured Inspirations while looking into memory care options for a loved one. I was very impressed by what I saw here, and based on the facility and level of care provided they would have been our first choice! It's a beautiful, clean, well kept facility in a gorgeous country setting. All of the staff I met seemed extremely caring and professional. Unfortunately in wasn't the best fit for our loved one based on some specific care needs, but I'd definitely recommend them as being worth a look.

They really wanted to make her feel comfortable when we first arrived. They are a very warm group and very attentive. From where she came from before, she might have to sit for 2 hours waiting for someone, but here they answer within two minutes. They want to help and want to be kind to her. They are very good communicators. If my insurance is messing up with the medications they let me know. They are very kind and loving people with a lot of experience and that is very comforting.

Our experience with Hearthomes at Linthicum has been a good one so far! They've been very helpful across the board. The staff have provided me with a lot of different suggestions and additional information regarding care.

They don't have an activities director right now. The caregivers and nurses perform these functions at this time and do a great job at it. The location is a nice size and a nice fit for my mom. I think the food looks good and is prepared fresh daily. It's kept very clean and they are the least expensive facility for compared to others with the same amenities. It's not too big and not too small. This is a great place to place a family member!

Visited the Lutherville location on 1/25 @ ~3p. Very helpful and friendly staff. All rms are priv w/a bath attached. They stand by while residents takes showers to ensure safety. They do laundry. 16 beds. The residents I saw seemed happy and comfortable. They provide furniture, but residents can bring their own, and are encouraged to personalize their room. Rms are small, so a queen bed would dominate. Cable & tele hookups in each rm. Res provides phone if desired. 24hr care on site. A doc from GBMC visits. Outside doors always locked. No visiting hrs - can come at anytime. Can take Mom out anytime too, for drives or shopping or whatever. Daily activities M-F. If she misses a meal, she could only get a snack (the example I was given was if she missed breakfast, she could get coffee and toast). Meds can either be provided by me or go thru their local pharmacy. Med techs will administer. There is outdoor porch and a library room (plus a common area and an enclosed inner "porch"). Overall the place was clean and no odors. I also met the daughter of one of the residents who told me her Mom had been to several other AL facilities and to Shephard Pratt several times before coming to HeartHomes. Her Mom has been at HH for 4 yrs and has never returned to ShepPratt in that whole time. Also, the prev AL facilities were too large for her Mom to handle (which got me thinking maybe that added to Mom's anxiety at Sunrise).

I love this facility. I think it would be perfect for our Mom. I liked just about everything they have to offer and director was great!

I've not experienced a whole lot yet with Covid restrictions. I've found that sometimes when I leave a message, it takes a while for someone to get back to me. I get the feeling they're short-staffed. The person who helped us get moved in was extremely helpful, but he has since left for a different position. And since then, it's been difficult to get ahold of someone. But they're very friendly and accommodating. They've been especially accommodating when it comes to visiting my loved one with my busy schedule, and that's been very helpful. The people I've interacted with are awesome. I hear form the staff that my loved one joins in all the activities and is the life of the party. With her dementia she often doesn't remember, but the staff do a good job keeping me up to date with what she's doing. All senior care is an investment, but they're on par with other places. And I know my loved one is safe. That's the most important thing to me.

The aids at this community are great. They are nice, friendly, outgoing and let me know what is going on with mom. They do seem to offer a lot of snacks during the day. They keep the community clean. They do offer a few activities, however I think they could add some additional activities. I would recommend this community.

My mom loves this place. Everyone there is very nice and has gotten to know her. The food is wonderful and all the residents love the cafeteria workers. The cafeteria is the highlight of the community. They have a sheet and they keep track of if the residents come down to meal time. I would recommend this community and I would suggest that everyone looking into a community have a sit down meeting and get the email addresses of everyone in charge.

We moved my mom into Inspirations Bayside in December. There was quite an adjustment, for my brother and I, more than probably for my mom. The facility had recently changed ownership and you can see that they have been upgrading a few things which is nice. The meals have been okay. It seems like the longer my mother has been there the more aware the staff are that she needs help with cutting her food due to being visually impaired. Her room is nice and is overall well-maintained, although we did find a pile of dirty Kleenex under her bed which suggests that they don't necessarily clean under the bed. We have our laundry done at the facility and I like that they do each residents laundry separately so we have had minimal issues with disappearing linens and clothes. Our biggest concern has always been the response to her call button. My mom sometimes need needs assistance in the bathroom and they don't always respond in a timely fashion to her call. The thing to keep in mind is the helper to resident ratio. This is a reasonably priced facility, but the ratio is not as good as some of the higher priced facilities.

Everything about Inspiration's Bayside Assisted Living community has been a great experience. We toured 5 and this is by far the best. Friendly, good food etc. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families!

What our family likes the most about the Inspirations' Bayside Assisted Living Community are the caring aides they have working there. We also really like the atmosphere of the community, it is a beautiful place. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

I would not hesitate to have my mom stay at Woodlands Assisted Living. she likes it here and we especially like the room that my mom has, it's very lovely. its also a nice size, so she has plenty of space.
