Comforts of Home - Menomonie

I cannot say enough good things about this facility and also about the people running it. I talked with Heather on the phone and my brother then toured the facility. We moved mom in and from the very beginning we all knew that she was exactly where she needs to be. She loves her apartment and the people and the staff. It's a small enough facility that you will get to know everyone and they have lots of activities and things to become involved with. I would highly recommend Comforts of Home!

The staff are wonderful people that took great care of my father that was diagnosed with brain cancer one month earlier. The staff on hand were so caring and helpful with any thing that needed to be done to make father more comfortable the last month of his life. We really appreciated everything they did for us both.

Nursing Homes

A nursing home is a complex that provides housing to at least two individuals who are not related by blood or by marriage to the administrator. This type of complex offers its occupants around-the-clock care administered by on-site nurses. The most common mental disease effecting nursing home residents is dementia, which can cloud their and their sense of familiarity, decision making abilities, and memory function. Many occupants of nursing homes are persons with behavioral troubles. These can consist of resisting care, verbal outbursts, or a tendency to wander.
