I have to say I have no complaints. The nurses and staff have been really wonderful to me. Everyone has been very nice and caring. They met all my needs in a timely manor and everything was clean and smelled good. The therapy has been helping me a great deal. Overall I would stay here again and I would recommend it to anyone who wants great care with wonderful staff members.

What stands out about this facility is how good the staff is to my mother and how she has adjusted better than I thought she would and it's because they are so good to her and how they check on her even through the night. Housekeeping does a good job and the facility is very well kept.

I can’t say enough about the care my brother received from everyone at Provident. They were caring and helpful from day one. They went above and beyond to make it work for him. I am so grateful for them. And thanks to A Place For Mom for pointing me to Provident.

Nursing Homes

A nursing home is an establishment that houses two or more persons who are not related by blood or by marriage to the administrator. A nursing home facility provides its residents with care by on-site nurses. These nurses provide specialized care for those who are unable to properly care for themselves.

Nursing homes are a familiar and comfortable living option for persons 65 years or older, however nursing homes will take in individuals 55 and greater which is unusual for other senior care types.Nursing homes are required to provide specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability), room and bed maintenance services, pharmaceutical services, and routine personal hygiene items to residents. Often times persons might decide to live in a nursing home over another type of facility due to a physical or mental condition that makes it difficult for them to accomplish their lifestyle goals. Some services come at an extra cost which can include a private room, unless medically needed, cosmetic and grooming items, and personal clothing. Many occupants of nursing homes might have behavioral difficulties. These can consist of a tendency to wander, verbal outbursts, or resisting care. A large number of residents are single women with circles of support, and almost fifty percent of nursing home residents are older than the age of 85.
