The only comment I would make is that it was sometimes, not always, it can be difficult to communicate with the proper staff to get my questions answered. I would recommend Evergreen Memory Care to other families.
I would recommend Spring Valley. what stands out to me the most is the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to help. we visit frequently during the week, so we run into people there who communicate with us about my mom and her care.
My mom is doing fine at this community. We are having a little trouble with the meals and they are handling it well. The planned activities has been good for my mom to try out. I feel they are providing good care and the staff are communicating very well with me.

Nursing homes, also called skilled nursing facilities, provide long-term care for seniors with significant physical or mental health conditions, and short-term care to people recovering from an injury or hospital stay. Nursing homes provide personal assistance and medical care from licensed professionals. Services in skilled nursing facilities often include:
A nursing home facility offers room and board to two or more individuals who are not related by marriage or by blood to the administrator. A nursing home facility offers its residents around-the-clock care administered by registered nurses. These nurses provide personal care, maintenance and other health related services for people who cannot adequately take care of themselves.
Nursing homes can be a convenient and easy living choice for individuals 65 years and above, however nursing homes will routinely allow persons 55 and older (a rarity in theworldof senior care).Nursing homes are required to provide specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability), emergency dental services, pharmaceutical services, and room and bed maintenance services to residents. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to spend time with visitors, get information on services and fees, be free from restraints, and have your representative notified about your care. Often times seniors may prefer life in a nursing home due to a mental or physical condition that makes it difficult for them to accomplish their standard of living. A significant amount of residents tend to be single women with smaller social support groups, and about half of nursing home residents are over the age of 85. Types of care services and amenities offered at nursing homes can include care coordination and case management, patient and caregiver education, meal programs, and injections.
