My father in law is doing okay here at this community, he is still adjusting, but they are caring for him well. We do feel comfortable with his move to this community, it is a nice place. [Removed] is amazing. She was great to work with, she was very helpful, and understanding. The front desk receptionist isn't very pleasant, but the rest of the staff is very kind, and helpful. His room is well maintained when we visit, but the guest restroom could be better maintained. They have been very accommodating, and this is a community I would recommend.

The Bristal at East Northport
4.5

The staff at the East Northport Bristal is always kind. They always have a smile on their faces and are genuinely sweet and loving to my mom. The facility is ALWAYS spotless and beautiful to live in or visit. The only area I see occasional improvement for is the food. It is not always hot and more fresh veggies needed. The personal care and overall facility is excellent.

The Bristal at East Meadow
5.0

I have toured many assisted living before deciding to place my family member here. I am so pleased with the decision! You can tell the management truly cares about us and it stems off into all the other workers. [Name removed] went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and I would recommend this place to anyone looking!

Nursing Homes

A nursing home facility provides residence to two or more seniors who have no personal relation to the administrator. A nursing home facility provides its residents with care by registered nurses. These nurses provide specialized care for seniors who are unable to adequately take care of themselves due to their aging.

This type of facility is a convenient and easy living option for individuals 65 years and above, however nursing homes will routinely admit individuals 55 and above seldomheard of in senior care regarding care types. Some services come at an extra cost which can include personal reading materials, personal clothing, and special care services not included in the facility’s Medicaid payment. Often times seniors might prefer to live in a nursing home over another type of facility due to a mental or physical condition that prevents them from easily accomplishing their standard of living. Types of amenities and servicesoffered at nursing homes can include wound care for pressure sores or a surgical wound, meal programs, monitoring serious illness and unstable health status, and care coordination and case management. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to have protections against involuntary transfer or discharge, to manage your money, get proper privacy, property, and living arrangements, and be free from abuse and neglect. Many residents of nursing homes are individuals with behavioral problems. These can span verbal fits, resisting care, or experiencing a desire to wander.
