My father in law is doing okay here at this community, he is still adjusting, but they are caring for him well. We do feel comfortable with his move to this community, it is a nice place. [Removed] is amazing. She was great to work with, she was very helpful, and understanding. The front desk receptionist isn't very pleasant, but the rest of the staff is very kind, and helpful. His room is well maintained when we visit, but the guest restroom could be better maintained. They have been very accommodating, and this is a community I would recommend.

[Name removed] went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and I would recommend this place to anyone looking!

Nursing Homes

A nursing home is a building that houses at least two seniors who have no familial ties to the administrator. This type of facility offers its residents around-the-clock care administered by registered nurses. These nurses provide health related services for people who cannot properly care for themselves due to mental or physical conditions, including age.

Nursing homes can be a helpful and easy care alternative for individuals 65 years or older, however nursing homes will usually take in persons 55 and greater which is uncommon for other senior care types.Often times individuals might prefer to live in a nursing home over another type of facility due to a mental or physical disability that makes it difficult for them to accomplish the activities of daily living. Nursing homes are required to provide dietary services, emergency dental services, pharmaceutical services, and specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability) to residents. Examples of care services and amenities offered at nursing homes can include monitoring serious illness and unstable health status, meal programs, care coordination and case management, and patient and caregiver education. The most common mental disease experienced by residents of nursing homes is dementia, which can hinder their and their sense of familiarity with their surroundings, decision making abilities, and memory function. There are some services that may come at a cost to residents which can include cosmetic and grooming items, special care services not included in the facility’s Medicaid payment, and personal clothing.
