Because my own home would be better, I didn't give 5 stars. The meals are good, the help is helpful and friendly and most everyone calls me by my first name. I'm forgetful and was unable to cook for myself so this is ideal for me and I have 2 family members living within 12 miles so I can get personal help if I need to. When I need assisted living its right here across the street. I also have a sister in assisted living.
Nye Square is a beautiful facility! It is clean, well maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. The DON and other staff go out of their way to answer questions and provide a homelike atmosphere!
It was the best place we could have taken my parents. Very homey vibe. Staff gets to know residents and makes them feel welcome. Often found someone in my mom's room visiting her. I highly recommend this facility.[name removed]has an unbelievable staff.

Nursing homes, also called skilled nursing facilities, provide long-term care for seniors with significant physical or mental health conditions, and short-term care to people recovering from an injury or hospital stay. Nursing homes provide personal assistance and medical care from licensed professionals. Services in skilled nursing facilities often include:
A nursing home is a facility that provides lodging to at least two persons who have no personal relation to the administrator. A nursing home facility provides its residents with around-the-clock care administered by registered nurses. These nurses offer healthcare services for people who are unable to take care of their own needs.
Nursing homes are a convenient and easy living option for persons 65 years or older, however nursing homes will usually allow persons 55 and greater which is unusual for other senior care types. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to have protections against involuntary transfer or discharge, to manage your money, get proper privacy, property, and living arrangements, and be free from restraints. The most frequent mental disease experienced by nursing home residents is dementia, which can hinder their decision making abilities, and familiarity with their surroundings, and memory recall. A large number of inhabitants are single women who have circles of support, and about fifty percent of nursing home residents are over 85 years old. A significant portion of nursing home residents are persons who have incontinence issues, require assistance with daily tasks such as bathing, experience difficulty seeing and hearing, or have a physical or mental disability. Nursing homes are required to provide routine personal hygiene items, specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability), medically-related social services, and dietary services to residents.
