I cannot express enough how amazing our experience has been with the Royal at Harwich Village. The staff is wonderful, friendly, and so caring. When we went for our first visit , we were very impressed with the facilities and all the activities they have available for the residents. We met with [Removed], RN, Executive Director, and she was so compassionate and understanding regarding what a difficult thing it can be to place a parent in assisted living. The food is wonderful , and the apartment my mother has is lovely. They are so kind and generous with their patience, and on night one, my mother said she loved it there. I could not be more pleased!
They need to do a better job of accommodating family members in the dining room on holidays such as Thanksgiving. Spots for family members are too few and get taken too quickly. Visiting family members should be entitled to a few meals each year in the dining room with their loved one, without charge. At [fee removed] per month (in 2023), it is very insulting to be informed that a visiting (it happened to me) family member has to pay for a hot dog at lunch (not kidding). The building is outstanding/uplifting.
What we like the most about the Brookdale Cape Cod is the staff team, they are amazing, and the community place is kept very clean. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would absolutely recommend this community to other families looking for a place for their loved ones.
