Grace Assisted Living at Twin Falls
5.0

I would recommend it to others. Friendly staff and activities. Grace had a good reputation, it was clean, comfortable and most affordable over other assisted living facilities.

Canyons Retirement Community in Twin Falls, ID
4.3

The community is friendly, caring, responsive, and has well maintained décor. I like that the community has private rooms with really nice private bathrooms that are well designed, and has a home like feel to it. The staff are good to work with and they are willing to keep the family updated on our loved one. There is an administrative team and they are willing to work as a team to find a resolution to any concerns the family has, and answer our questions.

Twin Falls, Idaho

Nursing Homes

A nursing home is a complex that houses at least two individuals who have no familial relation to the administrator. This type of complex provides its inhabitants with 24-hour care by registered nurses. These nurses offer specialized care for seniors who cannot adequately take care of themselves.

This type of community is a convenient and comfortable living alternative for individuals 65 years and above, however nursing homes will commonly accept individuals 55 and older seldom heard of in senior care regarding other care types. Often times seniors might prefer to live in a nursing home due to a mental or physical condition that makes it difficult for them to accomplish their lifestyle goals. Many occupants of nursing homes are humans with behavioral problems, which can encompass verbal antagonism, resisting aid, or a tendency to wander. Nursing homes are required to provide medically-related social services, specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability), pharmaceutical services, and routine personal hygiene items to residents. There are some services that may come at a cost to residents which can include specially prepared food, flowers and plants, and a private room, unless medically needed. The most frequent mental issue effecting nursing home residents is dementia, which can cloud their memory function, decision making abilities, and and their sense of familiarity.
