I don't see much activities at the Canopy. The only other experience I've had with dementia facilities was top notch. Mom was at a facility in Jacksonville that was Wonderful. Lots of activities. We picked this community because it was a new facility and close to Mom's home so that her husband could visit.
From my conversation with my loved one, the nursing care seems to fine. He is just eager to get back home. When he has to come to Avalon it is because he is usually in not in the best condition. The staff though, they have been cool so far.
