This community has a number of provisions concerning food and diet which include the community must provide therapeutic diets as ordered by the resident’s health care provider for residents who require special diets, meals must be adapted to residents physical abilities , meals must be adapted to residents’ food habits, and the community must provide a variety of regular meals that meet the nutritional needs of residents. This type of community is required to have a staff member on duty 24 hours a day. The minimum number of residents for this community type is 1. There must be one bath or shower for every 1 residents and one toilet for every 1 residents. Staff members receive training in a number of fields. These include: reporting incidents, universal precautions, emergency evacuation, and providing assistance with activities of daily living. Public assistance is available through 1915(b)(c) MLTC program. This type of community is required to offer a number of services. These include nursing services, personal care services, assistance with self-administration of medications, and assistance with activities of daily living .
