Trustwell Living at Russ Place in Ruston, LA
4.7

My brother signed on the dotted line because of the cost. But he stays there because of the administrator and the staff. They make sure that he gets the medical care he needs and takes him to his appointments and check in on him everyday to make sure that he gets what he needs. You have to be buzzed in to get into the facility and you have to have a mask and your temperature is taken.

The Arbors and Terrace of Ruston
4.9

We chose The Arbors & Terrace of Ruston because I knew a few people that worked here and we know several of the people that live here as well. When we visited for our tour it was just a no brainer for my parents, they loved it right away. The apartments are a really good size, we were able to fit a lot of their furniture. The staff and care has been wonderful. They have plenty of activities going on. I would absolutely recommend them to others.

Nursing Homes

A nursing home provides residence to two or more persons who have no family ties to the administrator. This type of community offers its residents 24-hour care by registered nurses. These nurses offer healthcare services for those who cannot adequately care for their own needs.

Nursing homes can be a convenient and comfy care alternative for individuals 65 years or older, however nursing homes will allow access to individuals 55 and greater (a rarity in the world of senior care).A significant portion of nursing home residents are individuals who require assistance with daily tasks such as getting dressed, experience difficulty with hearing and seeing, have mental or physical disabilities, or have incontinence issues. Nursing homes are required to provide a professionallly directed program of activities, medically-related social services, room and bed maintenance services, and dietary services to residents. Types of amenities and services offered at nursing homes might include patient and caregiver education, care coordination and case management, skilled nursing or medical care, and friendly visitor programs. Many occupants of nursing homes may have behavioral troubles. These can consist of a tendency to wander, resisting care, or verbal outbursts. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to be free from restraints, have protections against involuntary transfer or discharge, be free from abuse and neglect, and make complaints.
