Golden Years Assisted Living in Hampton, VA

Welcome to Golden Years! When looking for a new home, this assisted living is a five star hotel encircled by the care often associated with family. You go online and pick up pamphlets searching. Let me stop you right there! Look no further. I am a resident at Golden Years and have been since late February 2017. With this assisted living, you get what is advertised, and a whole lot more! The food is nutritious and tasty. The inside and outside grounds are well kept, including a covered outside deck. Everyone who works here, love working here. Everyone has talents, all different and unique. With 'family' as one of the most important elements, tapping into what each new resident brings, builds an environment which flourishes with each new day! I am extremely happy with my home at Golden Years! Come and see, you may fall into love at Golden Years and may want to join us

Independent Living

If you would benefit from the convenience of having your chores handled while living the way you wish, you might consider the option of an Independent Living Community. Basic chores such as meal planning and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and social activities is maintained, allowing residents the autonomy to use their time as they choose, free from daily obligations. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and interests. Residents’ quarters consist of a private living space with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering opportunities to entertain guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies differ between locations, a number of residences allow cats and dogs as well. If residents decide they would like to employ the services of private medical providers, they always have the option. There are a number of benefits and costs to consider while deciding on an independent living community. It is important to determine if these amenities are covered in the care plan: initial assessment fee, field trips, parking, private phone, cable TV, housekeeping, laundry, and utilities. The amenities associated with independent living include golf course, healthcare center, community activities, game/TV room, fitness center & swimming pool, concierge services, laundry service, and beauty salon & barber shop.
