I think it is great. Everybody is close knit like a family. I have never been any place like this where all of the residents have joined together. Before COVID, the food was really good and it was fun. On Friday nights, we would have wine and different types of food. It was always a nice meal. I love my apartment. I have a little balcony with a courtyard view. I intend to just stay here. I never want to live anywhere else.

I like this place. It is really reasonably priced too. I have my name on the waiting list, and it was a plus that there was no deposit to get on the waiting list.

Farmers Branch, Texas

Independent Living

For those who desire to live primarily without personal assistance but wish for the assistance of having housekeeping handled by professionalls, an Independent Living Community may be the perfect fit. Basic chores such as meal preparation and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and leisure activities is maintained, allowing residents the autonomy to use their time as they wish, free from daily responsibilities. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, surrounded by others of similar ages and backgrounds. Typically consisting of a private living area and a full kitchen, these communities offer homes with many of the amenities of apartment life but with none of the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily tasks out of the way. While policies differ between locations, many residences allow cats and dogs as well. If residents decide they would like to enlist the services of independent health care professionalls, they always have the option. There are a number of advantages and costs to balance while choosing an independent living community. It is important to determine if these amenities are covered in the care plan: laundry, wellness program, cable TV, housekeeping, move-in fee, Waiting list deposit, initial assessment fee, and private phone. The conveniences that pertain to independent living include beauty salon & barber shop, transportation, community activities, security guards, private rental hall, golf course, fitness center & swimming pool, and restaurant-style dining hall.
