Independent Living
My brother did not have a good experience in his stay at this community. They had him in one room when he moved in and then they changed his room the next day. When I inquired as to why they said they try to have them with a roommate they are compatible with. When they moved him into the new room he did not get along with his roommate and due to issues with him and the staff not assisting he is no longer living at this community.
Our experience with Brookdale Bristol was a very positive one! The facility is clean and well kept, and the people are very friendly. I saw a few communities in the area and Brookdale really impressed me with their activities program. They're definitely worth a look if you're looking into senior care in the area!
My view was a big reason for moving to Harmony. My living room and balcony look out at the Asheville mountains. No matter the season, the view brings joy and peace. There are numerous activities. I can choose to participate in those that I enjoy, including book groups, discussions on current events/ideas, knitting, plus, classes or groups for exercise, yoga, meditations, journaling, coffee chats, etc. Harmony's driver takes residents to medical appointments, the grocery store, and other errands, plus, a weekly mystery ride around the county. As I am on the one meal a day plan, I can choose which meal, usually, evening. A la carte is also available. The staff supports us here, whether it's our concierge, house keeping or maintenance. I love the gym!
