Although they were struggling with some personnel issues for a while they vastly improved their staff over time. When my mother had a stroke they handled the hospice care wonderfully, which can really be a great bonus when it comes to this level of care.
Such an incredible experience with these folks. Sarah was particularly helpful - answered our questions thoroughly, made my mom truly feel like a VIP, so welcoming and inviting. We felt like we were truly part of the family!
They take very good care of both of my parents there. My dad is in the memory care. Mom tells everyone how good they are to her in the lodge. My only fear is that eventually we might run out of money and have to place them somewhere else. But I'm very happy with the care they receive.

Many seniors may be able to live without assistance, but the cost burden of home ownership and the maintenance of daily tasks and chores might be a deterrent to an independent lifestyle. Independent Living Communities provide a solid remedy to this situation. Basic tasks such as meal preparation and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and social activities is provided, allowing residents the autonomy to use their time as they choose, free from daily obligations. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, surrounded by others of similar ages and interests. Typically consisting of a private living space and a full kitchen, these communities offer residences with many of the amenities of apartment life but with none of the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily chores out of the way. While policies vary between locations, a number of residences allow cats and dogs as well. If residents decide they would like to employ the services of independent medical providers, they always have the option. There are a variety of expenses and benefits to balance when selecting an independent living community. It is important to figure out if these services are included in your service plan: field trips, cable TV, transportation, meals, housekeeping, move-in fee, internet access, and utilities. The conveniences that pertain to independent living include concierge services, community activities, security guards, beauty salon & barber shop, golf course, healthcare center, restaurant-style dining hall, and transportation.
