The Bristal at East Northport
4.5

The staff at the East Northport Bristal is always kind. They always have a smile on their faces and are genuinely sweet and loving to my mom. The facility is ALWAYS spotless and beautiful to live in or visit. The only area I see occasional improvement for is the food. It is not always hot and more fresh veggies needed. The personal care and overall facility is excellent.

I have toured many assisted living before deciding to place my family member here. I am so pleased with the decision! You can tell the management truly cares about us and it stems off into all the other workers. [Name removed] went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and I would recommend this place to anyone looking!

Independent Living

For seniors who desire to live primarily without personal assistance but would like the convenience of having daily tasks and responsibilities handled by professionalls, an Independent Living Community may be the perfect fit. Basic chores such as meal planning and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and leisure activities is provided, allowing residents the autonomy to use their time as they see fit, free from daily responsibilities. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to be among peers, surrounded by others of similar ages and interests. Typically comprised of a private living area and a full kitchen, these communities offer residences with many of the amenities of apartment life but without the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and there will be more time to spend with them with the basic maintenance of daily chores out of the way. While policies differ between locations, many residences allow pets as well. If medical or nursing assistance is desired, residents may always enlist the services of private caregivers. There are a variety of costs and advantages to balance while choosing an independent living community. It is important to determine if these services are covered in the service plan: laundry, cable TV, Waiting list deposit, private phone, move-in fee, parking, initial assessment fee, and transportation.
