Oakey Assisted Living in Las Vegas, NV

It has been a great overall experience. The community is very clean and we loved the staff. They provide great quality care. The meals okay, need a bit more variety (ie seafood). Our loved ones didn't really participate -- loved the Thursday entertainment. As with any location the value was okay, still high for retired or have health issues. Based on this experience, we would recommend this community to other families.

Independent Living

If you desire the convenience of having your chores handled while living the way you want, consider an Independent Living Community. Basic needs such as meal preparation and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and social activities is provided, allowing residents the autonomy to use their time as they wish, free from daily responsibilities. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, in a community with others of similar age groups and backgrounds. Residents’ quarters consist of a private living space with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering an opportunity to entertain guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies vary between locations, a number of residences allow pets as well. If medical or nursing assistance is desired, residents may always utilize the services of private caregivers. There are a number of expenses and advantages to consider when choosing an independent living community. It is important to determine if these services are covered in the plan: cable TV, laundry, Waiting list deposit, meals, housekeeping, field trips, transportation, and move-in fee. The conveniences associated with independent living include private rental hall, golf course, concierge services, healthcare center, transportation, beauty salon & barber shop, fitness center & swimming pool, and community activities.
