My loved one was previously a resident at Hilltop at Glenwood and the overall experience was good. The staff is friendly, but I do feel like there is a lack of communication between them. Overall, I would recommend Hilltop at Glenwood to others who are looking for a Memory Care facility.
A sweet member of my church family moved to Country Cottage in Russellville. I can't say enough positive things about this community. The staff are always available to help her. She said she didn't know what she would do without her "girls" at the Cottage. I pop in to check on her all the time. They have great activities and the food is absolutely fantastic. Their cook should open a restaurant. We are so thankful for these sweet ladies who work here and take excellent care of my friend. I would recommend 10 out of 10!

If you desire the peace of mind of having your chores handled by professionalls while living the way you want, you might want to consider an Independent Living Community. Seniors may continue to use their free time as they see fit while their meals are cooked by a professionall chef, housekeeping and laundry duties are taken care of by staff, and social activities are scheduled and organized. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to be among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and backgrounds. Typically consisting of a private living space and a full kitchen, these communities offer residences with many of the amenities of apartment life but with none of the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and there will be more time to spend with them with the basic maintenance of daily chores out of the way. While policies differ between locations, a number of residences allow cats and dogs as well. If medical or nursing care is desired, residents may always enlist the services of independent health care professionalls. There are a number of advantages and expenditures to keep in mind while deciding on an independent living community. It is important to figure out if these services are covered in your service plan: move-in fee, transportation, laundry, initial assessment fee, wellness program, field trips, housekeeping, and private phone. The conveniences that pertain to independent living include healthcare center, transportation, restaurant-style dining hall, fitness center & swimming pool, concierge services, game/TV room, beauty salon & barber shop, and security guards.
