We toured this community. And we fell in love . It had everything mom needed. The food is always being raved by my mother. The caregivers here are great and helpful. It is alway clean and tidy. She enjoys the activities like bingo and rosary they even have a bus that will take them to walgreens and things like that. The grounds are well maintained. The staff communicates well with the family. I would recommend this community.
The main reason I chose Summit Place Senior Campus was because of the pool that they have. As far as the food goes, the meat that they serve is dry, the rice has nothing on it, and a lot of times the food is cold when it is served.
After our initial contact with " A Place for Mom " services we were able to view 4 other locations including Elim Shores. Upon our first verbal and personal meeting with Elim Shores we were SOLD on their services, courtesies and available options for our loved one ( Mother / age 92 ). Since moving into Elim Shores our Mother has been able to meet many other seniors and participate in the daily and weekly functions / services offered by Elim Shores with ease. Moving from her long term permanent residence to a new beginning of apartment living at Elim Shores has been an easy transition for her and our family. As with all Senior residences -expenses can be a key factor. Elim Shores offers both FREE services covered in your monthly rent as well as additional cost options should those needs be necessary or just be needed on a short term basis. Whatever you may be looking for in accommodations and services we feel that Elim Shores is a definite winner and worth looking at for a comparison of your Senior Living needs. Good Luck !!!!!

Independent Living Communities provide individuals with a handy balance between an independent lifestyle and not having to concern themselves with chores. Basic tasks such as meal preparation and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and leisure activities is maintained, allowing residents the autonomy to use their time as they choose, free from daily obligations. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, in a community with others of similar age groups and backgrounds. Typically consisting of a private living space and a full kitchen, these communities offer homes with many of the amenities of apartment life but with none of the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily chores out of the way. While policies vary between communities, numerous residences allow cats and dogs as well. If medical or nursing support is desired, residents may always utilize the services of independent care providers.
