Mt Pleasant Comfort Care in Mount Pleasant, MI

The staff are so nice and friendly! Very caring and take great care of my uncle! They are always smiling and take such good care of my auntie [name removed]! She enjoys BINGO and their BBQ days! She likes her room just wants a better view! I would recommend this building to anyone in the Mt Pleasant area!

The Maples of St John in St. John's, MI

Best home I've been in. Good food.

Green Acres of Mt. Pleasant in Mount Pleasant, MI
4.5 / 5.0

My mother lived in the memory care unit here and we had a great overall experience with them. I was a little concerned with the level of attentiveness of the staff at times. For example, she needs someone to provide water/drinks for her and give her the initiative to drink it, otherwise she will go without. At times she was a bit dehydrated. Otherwise, the community is fabulous! It is very nice, open, and colorful with lots of windows -- a great atmosphere. It is not drab or hospital-like at all. It is a relatively new community, so they are still growing. I would say it would be a great place to go!

Independent Living

Independent Living Communities provide seniors with a harmony between an opportunity to live an independent lifestyle and not having to worry about chores. Basic tasks such as meal preparation and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and social activities is provided, allowing residents the autonomy to use their time as they see fit, free from daily obligations. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to be among peers, surrounded by others of similar ages and interests. Within the individual units, residents have access to their own private living space and a full kitchen, and can even live with a partner if they prefer. While policies vary between communities, many residences allow cats and dogs as well. If medical or nursing care is desired, residents may always utilize the services of private caregivers. There are an assortment of advantages and expenses to consider when choosing an independent living community. It is important to figure out if these services are covered in the care plan: cable TV, wellness program, internet access, move-in fee, field trips, private phone, meals, and initial assessment fee. The amenities that pertain to independent living include community activities, transportation, private rental hall, game/TV room, concierge services, security guards, healthcare center, and beauty salon & barber shop.
