Whaler's Cove in New Bedford, MA

Thanks to the Whaler's Cove staff to making the decision to join their community an easy one. From day 1, my Dad was welcomed and had everything done to make his transition as simple as possible. They did everything to make him feel right at home...it was like getting a brand new family! I could not have done everything without them! Thank you for being the angels taking care and watching my Dad during the times I can't be with him. Thank you again!

Friendly, helpful, go above and beyond to make sure the resident feels like they belong. Would have gave a 5 but price wise it was a little too much.

Atria Woodbriar in Falmouth, MA
4.9

Following a challenging extended hospital stay our mother has found a home at Atria Woodbriar Park. The entire team from executive management to nursing staff to caregivers met us, answered every question and assured us of compassionate care. Living in another state we count on the assurance of excellent care in a caring environment. Visiting yesterday after 6 weeks of residence our mother relayed she felt that she was living in the best place! Thank you Memory Care Team.

Independent Living

Independent Living Communities provide individuals with a nice balance between an independent lifestyle and not having to worry about chores. Residents can continue to use their free time as they desire while their food is cooked by a professionall chef, housekeeping and laundry duties are taken care of by staff, and social activities are organized and scheduled. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to be among peers, in a community with others of similar age groups and backgrounds. Within the individual units, residents have access to a private living space and a full kitchen, and can even live with a partner if they choose. While policies differ between communities, numerous residences allow pets as well. If medical or nursing assistance is desired, residents may always enlist the services of private care providers. There are an assortment of advantages and expenses to keep in mind when determining an independent living community. It is important to determine if these amenities are covered in the service plan: private phone, wellness program, transportation, meals, parking, initial assessment fee, cable TV, and internet access. The benefits that pertain to independent living include transportation, golf course, game/TV room, restaurant-style dining hall, security guards, concierge services, laundry service, and healthcare center.
