It was beautiful, really nice! It was a little more expensive. The food was a three and a half or a four, it left a little to be desired. The people were friendly and it was clean and just beautiful!

Garden Grove Apartments in Manhattan, KS
4.3

I chose Garden Grove because of the good reviews that it got when looked and also I like the way that it is laid out. The apartment sizes are very good and I am happy with that. They do not provide meals but meals on wheels does come through. The did just recently open up the community room and they have an exercise room as well. Maintenance has been on top of it and always here quickly for any issues. The manager here is friendly but the lady over her is not the most pleasant to work with. I would recommend them to others looking.

Vintage Park at Wamego
4.6

The residents here are very friendly and they do have a lot of activities going on. The price and availability worked out for us. For this area it is reasonable and its an all inclusive price which they tailor the care to the residents and do not charge extra. We would absolutely recommend this community to others.

Independent Living

Independent Living Communities provide individuals with a balance between an independent lifestyle and not having to concern themselves with housekeeping. Food preparation, recreational activities and housekeeping are taken care of while you are unrestricted to use your time as you wish. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to be among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and interests. Residents’ quarters consist of a private living space with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering opportunities to socialize with guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies vary between communities, many residences allow pets as well. If medical or nursing care is desired, residents may always enlist the services of private care providers. There are a number of advantages and expenditures to keep in mind while deciding on an independent living community. It is important to figure out if these services are included in your service plan: private phone, initial assessment fee, transportation, housekeeping, field trips, internet access, wellness program, and Waiting list deposit. The benefits and amenities associated with independent living include healthcare center, restaurant-style dining hall, transportation, private rental hall, fitness center & swimming pool, community activities, beauty salon & barber shop, and golf course.
