I moved my aunt whom is 68 yrs old, she loves it, the community is very friendly and access to shopping and other things are right at your feet. There are so many good things about this center I can write a book. From the beginning or my search I was helped by ROSE the office admin. She is amazing and always willing to try and help.

Our loved one was previously a resident at The Phoenix at Lake Joy. The quality of care declined. If not for hospice, I don't know what we would have done. We ended up moving our loved one to another facility. I would not recommend The Phoenix at Lake Joy to others.

Complete guide to independent living

Warner Robins, Georgia

Independent Living

If you or your loved one would like the peace of mind of having your housekeeping managed while living your life the way you want, consider an Independent Living Community. Food preparation, leisure activities and housekeeping duties are handled while you are able to use your time as you choose. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to be among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and interests. Typically consisting of a private living space and a full kitchen, these communities offer residences with many of the amenities of apartment life but without the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily tasks out of the way. While policies vary between locations, numerous residences allow pets as well. If medical or nursing care is desired, residents may always utilize the services of independent care providers. There are an assortment of advantages and expenses to keep in mind while choosing an independent living community. It is important to learn if these amenities are covered in the service plan: move-in fee, internet access, Waiting list deposit, laundry, wellness program, housekeeping, cable TV, and private phone. The benefits and amenities that pertain to independent living include golf course, laundry service, game/TV room, concierge services, community activities, fitness center & swimming pool, healthcare center, and beauty salon & barber shop.
