Would Not Recommend

I would not recommend this facility. The reality is that you are only as good as your employees and that is were the challenges are. Some of the employees are not interested in working hard for the residents as their hearts weren't in it. More interested in staying on their phones, tablets, etc. Food and cleaning are subpar. They try to charge extra via a point system as much as possible and raise rates yearly but do not take care of their people. Seem to only be interested in their occupancy rates, ie. more money coming in monthly. Too many challenges to justify the cost. Again, I would not recommend.

Do not recommend

The leadership does not follow directions. We had nothing but problems getting my mother. The care she needed in the memory care ward. There were several very good attendants there but overall the staff was inadequate. There were mysterious falls that they never knew what happened.

Our Family Experience

My husband was not at The Canopy at Warner Robins for very long, however all of the categories listed about would receive all 5s. We would recommend this community to other families who are looking for a place for their loved ones.

a well deserved fresh start for my Daddy.

Wish it could be a little cheaper but is a VERY nice facility. The friendliness and camaraderie is what our family likes the best. My Daddy even worked with a couple of the residents. They encourage socializing strongly and he flourishing there with less stress, new friends and 3 good meals a day while still having his own apartment. Best of both worlds.

Work In Progress

Overall the community is nice, clean, and has very nice staff. The concern is to do with procedures in the dining room such as; delivering food in a timely manner, the choices available to the residents even in their rooms, and making special requests be available to the residents. The food is very good though. The staff communication has been good when the family has questions or concerns. We are still waiting to see how the dining experience works out over the next few weeks.

Excellent, caring facility

This facility is very good. I really like the Physical Therapy group. I have had problems with upper management returning my calls. I've had a few issues to discuss (with financial/paperwork) and can't seem to get a call back. However, the care staff is great. Housekeeping does a very good job and seems to be always cleaning. Walking into this facility, it always looks and smells fresh and clean. The food is good, both quality and variety. I have recommended this facility to family and friends and will continue to do so!

A Great Place for Seniors

It was a good place. I think my loved one was a little too advanced with his dementia though. But otherwise, for the other people there who were more independent and mobile, it was a great place for them. The staff were great. They were very caring and eager to help out in any way they could.

When we first got there it was great. And then they went through some administration issues (corporate taking over billing, chef changes etc.) although I think they did the best they could throughout. It was a very nice atmosphere overall. And the care was pretty good.

Disappointed, shortness of staff

When we moved my loved one into The Canopy at Warner Robins they were fully staffed with no issues. Within a week, one by one people started leaving. Before my loved one moved out there were only 2 ladies on the day shift that were working part time and they were the best ones there, the others were not the best. The weekends were especially hard and they brought in agency employees to try to help. Unfortunately since they were short staffed, that affected other areas of the facility and we were disappointed with the experience overall.

Our experience

The biggest issue we have had with The Canopy is responsiveness from the staff and overall communication. There was not a lot of direction on medications and how that all works. I think they could have done a better job with explaining everything up front and helping to assist to make things run smoother.

Very nice! Friendly Staff

I have a family member in memory care. Each time I visit all of the patients look clean and neat. They have started some new activities for everyone and I am so glad to see this. They got to help make cookies and roll the dough a couple of weeks ago. That was so nice and they had so much fun. There is new management that seems to be really trying to make a difference and moving in the right direction. So glad to see this! Thank you for all you do!

Awesome Community to live in

My aunt is living here. She has absolutely loved being here. It's always so clean and the staff seems to go above to make her comfortable. They have a social hour every afternoon that she has really enjoyed and kept her active and not just sitting around alone. Thank ya'll for being awesome.

Strongly Recommend

I have trouble sometimes with communication and getting responses. They have a lot of activities always going on and things for the residents to pick from to do. Even thought my loved one does not participate there is a lot to do. I a m happy with this community and I would recommend. The first thing my loved one said is this is too fancy, it is a very pretty community and very elegant.

This was our first tour with an agency and it was IMPRESSIVE! the atmosphere of excellence, customer service of the employees, and the expression of JOY within the residents was a pleasure to see and experience.
