This place is an excellent facility that specializes in the care of Chinese speaking people. It is well maintained and the staff is always ready to help. My mom lived there until she passed .

Ivy Park at Palo Alto
5.0

From the looks of our visits, my mom is experiencing a good, new lifestyle. She has made the transition just fine. We are getting the doctor set up and I am familiar with the staff. They are great workers and I think the facility is great too. The manager, staff, nurses, are all very nice, all kind and all helpful. She has a private room with a nice patio to sit out on in. We are please with selecting this community for my mom .

The Watermark at Rosewood Gardens in Livermore, CA
5.0

We chose The Watermark at Rosewood Gardens because it was very close to me--less than a mile and we knew 3 others who had or do have a family member there. the front room of the apartment is spacious in comparison to some.

Union City, California

Independent Living

An Independent Living Community allows residents the choice to continue to live an active lifestyle while assuring their essential needs are fulfilled. Basic needs such as meal planning and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and social activities is provided, allowing residents an opportunity to use their time as they wish, free from daily obligations. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and backgrounds. Within the individual units, residents have access to a private living space and a full kitchen, and can even live with a partner if they prefer. While policies differ between communities, many residences allow cats and dogs as well. If medical or nursing care is desired, residents may always enlist the services of independent care providers. There are a number of expenditures and benefits to balance while selecting an independent living community. It is important to learn if these amenities are included in the care plan: initial assessment fee, housekeeping, private phone, cable TV, wellness program, field trips, parking, and move-in fee. The benefits associated with independent living include laundry service, restaurant-style dining hall, concierge services, beauty salon & barber shop, transportation, golf course, healthcare center, and private rental hall.
