The only improvement that I can think of that needs to be made at Sycamore Hills By the Bay is there is not enough parking. That is my only complaint about this facility. Everyone is very nice, the facility is really clean. I am really happy with my experience here so far.
The facility is very nice, close to stores, shops, parks & movie theatre. Lots of good restaurants near by. However, food is provided here, sometimes people like to go out to a restaurant. They have a lot of activities to do, a nice variety.
Staff is friendly and caring. The Inn is clean, but they are short staffed (like every other facility). Things like cleaning carpet can be delayed. Communication with family is excellent. The move in process was very good. Facilities helped with any hanging of pictures or installation of mobility aids. They have a chef and the meals are very good. There are always "not on the menu" options if she doesn't care for what's offered. They are looking to hire a couple of key employees who left due to long commutes. They need to fill those spots. My family would recommend the facility. It's not too big. Very much like family.

For seniors who wish to live primarily without assistance but would like the advantage of having daily tasks and responsibilities handled by professionalls, an Independent Living Community could be the perfect choice. Frequent needs such as the scheduling of social activities and housekeeping are accounted for, which provides seniors more free time to live their lives as they see fit. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to be among peers, in a community with others of similar age groups and backgrounds. Typically comprised of a private living space and a full kitchen, these communities offer homes with many of the amenities of apartment life but with none of the hassle. While policies differ between locations, a number of residences allow pets as well. Nursing and health care services may always be arranged for with private care providers if desired.
