Chateau On Capitol Avenue in Sacramento, CA
5.0

My 91 year old mother has been at Chateau on Capitol Ave. for about six months and has adapted well. She has made many new friends and is enjoying life there. The staff are very attentive and I'm impressed that every staff member calls her by name. It is a personal touch that I find endearing. Her room is always clean and she loves the food. I am comfortable with the level of care she is receiving and believe this move will add quality years to her life. My brother and sister have commented on the improvement in her health, attitude and her out look on life. Would recommend this facility to those who are looking for a quality facility to care for their family members.

Eskaton Cameron Park
4.3

We would recommend Eskaton based on overall quality of care and relative value compared to alternatives. Relative good "bang for the buck".

Independent Living

An Independent Living Community provides residents the opportunity to continue to live an active lifestyle while making sure their care requirements have been met. Frequent needs such as housekeeping and the scheduling of social activities are taken care of, allowing occupants more free time to live active lives as they desire. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to live among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and interests. Residents’ quarters consist of a private living space with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering an opportunity to socialize with guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies differ between locations, many residences allow pets as well. If residents decide they would like to utilize the services of private health care professionalls, they always have the option. There are a number of advantages and expenses to consider while choosing an independent living community. It is important to learn if these amenities are covered in the service plan: cable TV, internet access, field trips, housekeeping, wellness program, private phone, initial assessment fee, and move-in fee. The conveniences associated with independent living include private rental hall, restaurant-style dining hall, laundry service, security guards, fitness center & swimming pool, game/TV room, concierge services, and beauty salon & barber shop.
