We had a good experience with this home care agency. I use them when I go out of town. They do a good job with caring for my mother and her needs. I would use this home care agency again if needed.

Great Lakes Home Care Unlimited in Midland, MI

There was a lot of turnover with the aides, but for the most part Mom loved them. They were kind and loving to her. We had some billing issues with Great Lakes but things were worked out with her insurance. We would recommend Great Lakes Home care to others looking.

They didn't have the staffing to deal with his medical decline, they're more of a companion, helping him around and some of his medication needed changing. We liked the Christian affect, they were very kind and caring, they were willing to stay extra and do extra. They tried their best to help us out, the only issue is the type of agency it was, things in our situation change fast and we needed a higher skill level.

Home Care

Senior home care consists of many services that can be provided in the privacy of your family’s home. Typically, home care providers screen potential seniors prior to admittance. This screening might include ADLs abilities, medication use, and weight/nutritional status. This care type can provide various medical services including opening container lids, assisting residents in drinking fluid to swallow medication, and retrieving medication from secured storage. In-home care provides multiple services including assistance scheduling medical appointments, short-term nursing care, and local transportation. Also, services provided can include rehabilitative services and help with household chores. Non-medical home care may also afford your family member help with assistance managing tasks and with meal preparation. Finally, assistive home care can support your family member with wellness services such as monitoring vitals and transfers from wheelchair to bed.
