ComForCare Home Care - Southern Weld & Boulder Counties - Louisville, CO
3.1

They're on time. If I put a call in they're prompt to respond. But I generally don't have to call them about anything, maybe once or twice with a question. The caregiver is from our neighborhood and she does an okay job. She always tries to do her best. The woman who is head of scheduling wills stop in just to say hi. I haven't had to call them about any issues or anything. I would recommend them to others.

Comfort Keepers - Denver in Centennial, CO
4.0

Comfort Keepers was consistent on who they sent to help out my mom. They were skilled in caring for my mom and were attentive to her needs. The only downfall is that there was a lack of help when someone would call in sick. They didn't have a back up plan and would leave me with no caregiver at times.

SYNERGY HomeCare of Westminster, CO
5.0

The caregiver I was assigned through this home health company has been amazing. She always says how she doesn't like to be just standing around and how she enjoys to stay busy. That really impressed me and I enjoy her company. I would defiantly recommend this place to anyone interested in a home health company.

A car may be necessary, however, to get around the city outside of the downtown area. There are a number of services in the city that offer senior transportation, including RTD SeniorRide, which picks up groups of ten or more people from a single destination to travel to select community events for a fee.

Health care

Denver is a major metropolitan area, and as such, offers many options for medical care. Top hospitals in the city include UC Health University of Colorado Hospital, Porter Adventist Hospital, and Sky Ridge Medical Center.

Senior activities

Known as “The Mile High City,” Denver has much to offer in the way of entertainment and recreation. The Denver Art Museum contains over 68,000 pieces and displays a stunning collection of Native American art, showcasing works from many different tribes of the North American regions. For a stroll through the city replete with shopping and people-watching, visit the 16th Street Mall — a pedestrian mall featuring hundreds of trees, thousands of flowers, and a pathway designed by renowned architect I.M. Pei. Train and history buffs can take a short trip outside the city to the town of Golden to visit the Colorado Railroad Museum, which features over 100 locomotives and cars, as well as photos and historic artifacts, on display in a setting reminiscent of an 1880s rail depot. Living in Denver also offers plenty of access to the great outdoors. If you’d like to take in some of Colorado’s natural beauty, start with the Denver Botanical Gardens, a 24-acre park conveniently located right within the city. Of course, no visit to Colorado would be complete without a trip to the famed Rocky Mountain National Park. Just a short drive outside the city, the park is a world-famous destination encompassing 415 square miles of awe-inspiring scenic beauty.
