The caregivers have been amazing and treat my parents like family! We have several different ones covering different shifts and they all are professional, friendly, understanding and most importantly work well with aging adults. Management team is organized, flexible and understanding. I love that they are always accessible and answer text communications right away.
If you’re reading this, you probably are in the same crossroad that I and my family were in, deciding who could provide the BEST of care for someone so special to us. We spent countless hours thoroughly researching companies who provided these services. After a very long and very careful decision, we chose Home Matters of San Luis Obispo County. I can’t put into words how wonderful they have been! From the beginning processes of paperwork etc. to the every day of providing that individualized and special care to our grandmother, it has been easy, kind and they have gone out of their way! Trust me when I say, my elderly grandma is no easy person to convince of care, and she now reports how much she just LOVES everyone she has had the pleasure to meet. Thank you!
Grandma Joan's provided me with a very easy to use platform to find and employ a live-in caregiver for my 104-year-old dad. All the administrative details which would have been very hard for me to find out and deal with were included in the step-by-step guidance provided. On one hand the service is pricey but on the other, not easy to find a comprehensive package that would have resulted in such a trustworthy arrangement, which was the overarching criterion. California has stricter rules about payment to caregivers than other states so cost is simply higher but given that as an unavoidable feature, this was still a more viable set up than I could otherwise find. All in all, I am very glad that I was referred to David and his service which has so far had a good outcome.
