The ratio of workers to patients exceeded requirements and expectations. The staff went above and beyond in care for my dad and making my mom and all my sisters feel welcome and taken care of, even preparing meals for us to join if we were visiting during meal time. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and everyone was outgoing and patient with my dad, who at times could be difficult. They were incredibly attentive to his care and took a burden off of my mom these past few months so that she could spend as much quality time with him. We all enjoyed being there at willow creek to visit my dad but also enjoyed getting to know many of the staff members. Upon my dad passing, many of the caregivers and staff came to offer us condolences and made us feel like dad was a part of their family as well. My mom has spoken many, many times of how incredibly wonderful the whole experience at Willow Creek was more than she could have hoped for and we are all very pleased & grateful with every aspect of Willow Creek. We not only enjoyed the staff but also getting to know other residents and the fact they were always happy and outgoing and loved to chat shows the environment to be a positive experience for them as well.... Located in the suburban area of Castro Valley, California, residents and their families can rest easy knowing the community is within minutes of the local hospital.
Willow Creek Alzheimer Care offers round-the-clock care, monitoring, and assistance in a secure living environment. Experienced caregivers are qualified to provide personalized care services ranging from assistance with activities of daily living to medication management. All caregivers are specially trained to notice any changes in behavior. For an additional charge, caregivers can provide one-on-one care. Additionally, the community offers specialized care from visiting physicians, podiatrists, and dentists.
While living at Willow Creek Alzheimer Care, residents live on-site in a semi-private or private bedroom with immediate access to valuable amenities and stimulating activities. Plus, the community is secure, enabling residents to roam freely and cultivate a sense of independence. Residents can preserve their physical well-being with access to three well-balanced meals daily, as well as a hydration station. The community also values residents’ mental health by offering dementia-friendly activities like brain games and bird-watching opportunities.

This community is slightly better than average. The staff is nice and attentive. They try to engage mom to get involved with daily activities. It is always clean and they have really nice grounds. I would recommend this community.
