Carefield Castro Valley Assisted Living and Memory Care

I wanted to express my gratitude and appreciation for the warm welcome we experienced during our recent tour of the facility. The staff's friendly demeanor and hospitality made a lasting impression on my mother and me. In particular, the lunch we enjoyed was exceptional, with two options on the menu from which to choose. Our selection was the salmon, which was thoroughly enjoyable. We were also impressed by the chef's enthusiasm and professionalism in introducing himself to us. Although my mother and I ultimately chose another facility, it was due to our situation being on a waiting list at the time, and not because of any shortcomings in the service or amenities offered by your facility. The community was indeed our first choice.

My mom was there and passed in 2022. My Dad is there now in Memory care Everyone is very kind and personable. They remember our names. No place is perfect, but I think they do really well.

I would say that it's a very nice community. The residents are very friendly and the food is good. The care staff is good. The price point was good and the proximity to my home is good!

I will add one things about the leadership: Friendly, professional, and balanced leadership. I would recommend Carefield Castro Valley to others looking.

It is clean the workers are all very friendly and helpful. My father is happy and adjusting well.

The residents and staff were very good. I would tell other families, that if they ever want themselves or their loved one to feel like an ATM Machine then this is the place for them. The staff was good but never had a management group made me feel like my mother was a paycheck and not a person.

Carefield Castro Valley is the most amazing, safe, clean, and well-run establishment you could possibly hope for your loved one. My mom has been there since [date removed], and everybody from the Director [name removed] to the amazing head of the memory clinic [name removed] to the second to none ladies who help all the folks in Memory Care, [name removed] and [name removed] among them, To [name removed] who keeps everything running and organized, to [name removed] who is constantly thinking of new activities, you could not hope for a better, more experienced, more caring group to take care of your loved one. Our family can’t possibly say how much we appreciate this amazing institution and the people in it for taking care of my mom. They’ve put our hearts at ease. She is well cared for, well entertained, and well protected here. Thank you Carefield!

Overall, they did everything possible for my mom.

We picked this community because of the location, cost, and it's a smaller community. They have hired more people/staff, which is good. They are willing to help. The residents are very friendly and nice. I would recommend to other familes.

They have been very flexible and have worked well with us on room placement and incidents that have occurred.

We chose Carefield Castro Valley because of the convenient location to friends and family and the value for the money as well. The overall staff have been really great. I would recommend them to others looking.

Trying to find a reputable place for a loved one is the hardest things you'll ever have to do. [name removed] was compassionate and willing to meet all our needs. She allowed me to express our concerns and needs. So impressed by the intent to meet every little and big isssue. I recommend Carefield highly. Your loved ones are their only concerns. Really enjoyed the visit, [name removed] was very warm and welcoming. We were able to speak to [name removed], Director of Activities, and she was very pleasant. The facility was clean, bright and the environment appeared friendly. Few concerns, we weren't allowed to visit the memory care unit which is what we are looking for and the cost to stay is higher than we expected but we were overall very satisfied with initial consultation.

It's a very friendly staff at Carefield Castro Valley. They are anxious to do a good job helping residents. The food at this community is very good. We are happy with my wife's care at Carefield Castro Valley.

Toured this "luxury" facility, it is nice. But... while the base price is reasonable, the level of care my father needs, plus extra costs for this and that, it was a deal breaker. Too expensive for us.
