My husband was here for more than two years. I found everyone we encountered to be polite, hard working, and concerned about the patient as well as his loved ones. They went out of their way to make sure that all of my husband's needs were met in a timely fashion. The place is not fancy, but, the care was excellent.... Read more

Unfortunately, I have been to about 7 rehabs for my father and mother. This is the second worst one I have ever seen. The Staff there does not care about anyone. Very sad. They will openly say they hate their job. I feel bad for [name removed] and [name removed] who seem to care about what they do. I ran into a lady looking at an aide asking for help repeatedly. The aide looked at her, told her she didn't work there, and then sat in the corner of the dining room on her phone. The staff LOVES their phones only if they would give half of that attention to the residents. They are clueless. They also tried to charge me more when his medicare coverage ran out but I signed a contract on [removed] saying it would be $[removed]. After I paid in advance I received another bill "Correction" stating that I owed $[removed]due to a correction that was made on [date removed]. After 3 weeks of trying to get in touch with billing. She was Confused so [name removed] helped me with a fix! There's a lot more but I can't fit it.... STAY AWAY if you care.

An absolute terrible place. Way understaffed and those who do work there ignore the patients and are extremely nasty to the patients and family members. They did absolutely nothing for my father who was there after suffering from falls. They left him in his room to fend for himself for days at a time. When I brought my dad to the "community room" there were several patients there and the worker was napping in the corner. I have pictures which I intend to send to local news authorities. The State of New York needs to investigate this place and close it down.

DO NOT put anyone in this place. They are way understaffed and the staff on duty is more concerned with what they are having for lunch than the patients. Patients screaming in the rooms with no attention. My mother had so many UTIs. Most horrid place I have ever seen. Staff leaves the patients outside in the heat. There on the cell phone no one cares there. The state should look into this place & yes I will be call them.

DO NOT put anyone in this [Removed]. They are way understaffed and the staff on duty is more concerned with what they are having for lunch than the patients. Patients screaming in the rooms with no attention. My aunt was left in the hallway for hours after her therapy. She got so many UTIs that she was hospitalized when the last one became septic. Most horrid place I have ever seen.

A Place for Mom has scored White Oaks Nursing Home 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
