We love it here and are very busy with activities. They are always working on improving the food when reading complaints and it has been better (they're working on more gluten free foods.) We especially like their international dinners once a month. I would like to see more help in the health center but this seems to be the same everywhere. They're opening up a new dementia unit which is supposed to be state of the art. Money wise it probably is comparable to facilities like ours.... Read more

All 5's but we've only been there one month before we came north for the summer. The community is expensive but the fact that they won't put you out if you run out of money is a big thing compared to other places.

I would tell my friends that they provide an excellent nursing care. The room for my loved one is old and the community is being renovated. The rooms were cramped, in the nursing care. The assisted living rooms are beautiful. During the COVID period, they have done an exceptional job with my loved one. They have been very informative and giving updates for the families. They have even done virtual calls. I have been able to pick up and drop items off for my loved and has had no issues. The care for my loved one has been excellent during the COVID time frame and my loved one is doing really well at this community.

As a resident of Winter Park for nearly fifty years I feel compelled to share the following. If you're considering Senior Living in the Winter Park area please consider avoiding Westminster Winter Park, formerly The Towers. I had an egregious experience there. Misrepresentation by the management was frequent. I am grateful for a number of relationships at the facility but again management was consistently off the mark. I now live in a sensational retirement facility! I love central Florida and wish my fellow citizens a place such as I have found.

My big concern is the escalating levels of care available to my elderly parents. They have been living in a home in Waterbridge subdivision which has been wonderful for them. They have their independence, yet have the services of The Towers, when needed. That was until Dad fell. He just needed someone to look in on him twice a day to assist with little things he couldn't do while he was recovering. The only option the Towers offered was to move him into assisted living in a two room apartment with no kitchen. Well, my parents were not ready for that. They just needed temporary help and the Towers doesn't offer that. So just be sure to ask what they offer and know what you are buying into.

My wife and I moved to Westminster Winter Park three and a half years ago, the best move we've ever made. Active and in good health, we were a little anxious about moving to a retirement community, a place we would live the rest of our lives. Because of WWP's active wellness program we now expect to live longer, and due to the extensive range of interesting activities and fascinating people, we're busier and having more fun than we did living in a condo. We chose Westminster Winter Park because of its long term financial stability and because of the warm, caring, welcoming community of residents and staff.

We are mid-80's & have lived in an independent Westminster Winter Park apt. for almost five years. We are freed from any future concerns or even current ones - they even change our lightbulbs! Our children & their families love to visit, although we're usually busy participating in the huge choice of activities or volunteering. In every way, this is a beautiful place and a beautiful full-life choice for any who join us. Golf, billiards, art, books, boat trips, shopping, celebrations? All here and MORE. WWP is a blessing for ALL.

My mother is 95 years old and has been a resident of Winter Park Towers for over 2 years. She has been very happy since the day she moved in and we have been very pleased with all aspects of the facility. I am writing now because we were particularly pleased with how things were handled during the recent Hurricane Irma. All residents were kept up-to-date on what was happening and were well prepared long before the hurricane arrived. There was plenty of food and water as well as a generator in case power failed. My mother was even able to have a line run into her room to keep her medical equipment running. My husband and I had to evacuate from the beach and went to my daughter's house in Baldwin Park, about 2 miles from my mother. I asked her if she would feel safer staying with us. She replied, "Oh no, I'm in the safest place I can be. Besides, we are going to have a party and play games!" She had a wonderful time riding out the hurricane with her friends. I can't imagine a better place to live. She told be I should get my name on the waiting list soon!

My husband (of almost 65 years) & I chose Westminster Winter Park Independent Living five years ago. It is everything we hoped to find, and more. So much more. Our lives are filled with huge choices of personal activities, very friendly & considerate residents & staff, & the knowledge that a five-star nursing facility/rehab is right here if & when we need it - all this is added to the extraordinary beauty of our surroundings. Our family is not only delighted that we're here, they can't wait to be old enough to move here, too! It is amazing. We have been well blessed to be part of WWP.

My father was at Winter Park Towers for his rehabilitation after his head injury. Reflecting on the experience, I can not remember anything even remotely negative or neglectful in/with his care. My mother was treated with dignity and respect too (regardless of how many questions she asked). The CNA's are probably the hardest workers in the facility, but their care and assistance and humor is what Dad remembers most. The nursing staff is thorough and knowledgeable. We actually never saw or spoke to/with a doctor the entire time there, so all medical information and whatnot was handled by the nurses. Personalities mesh or don't, even in the nursing profession, so some were more welcoming and compassionate than others. But no one was rude or curt, just professional not chatty. Physical therapy was a God-send, each and every one of them. The "patience of a saint" describes their interactions with my Dad. Speech therapy, Occupational therapy - personable, friendly, and jovial with the family yet determined and comforting to the patient. The social services ladies walked us through many processes unfamiliar to us before this experience. Medicare, Medicaid, VA benefits, supplies needed, transportation to outside doctors and even the denture replacement office. Family meetings were arranged for our questions and understanding. No question was dismissed or ignored. I, and our family, would recommend Winter Park Towers to others. Ours was a short stay (only 90 days) but Dad was able and ready to come home and continue his healing and rehab. Each case is individual. Dad's was as positive as the situation would allow.

It has a very good reputation and a lot of people have lived there for many years. One lady that has been there since she was 60 and she's now in her 70's. They have everything - apartments, independent living, ALF, and skilled nursing - they meet every need that you might have. It's just big bucks to be able to stay there. It's a buy-in, so you put down X amount of dollars and how long you stay determines the amount you get back. They've been in Orlando for a long, long time, and it is a very nice place. I've never heard anybody say anything bad about it.
