The rooms are not cleaned properly, floors are sticky, bathroom is constantly filthy, bad smell. Not enough lights in rooms. Staff doesn’t check on residents enough. Laundry gets backed up. They strip the bed and don’t remake it right away… I had to make the bed myself several times…Staff congregates in the center amongst themselves while residents are calling for help…several falls of residents…night nurse is horrible! They leave my father in his wheelchair in front of the tv for hours without assisting him to bed earlier. If he wasn’t in need of hospice I would move him out!

November 13, 2024Hi Nicholas, thank you so much for sharing your mother’s experience! We’re thrilled to hear that she feels at home, enjoys the staff, and has built connections with new friends. My husband was accepted into the Vitality Memory Care unit. Unfortunately, he got covid 3 days before transfer from rehab to MC. He was in rehab an additional 2 weeks as he was weaker after covid. On reassessment by Vitality staff, due to his agitation, I was told they could only accept him if I paid a sitter to be with him 24/7. I was refunded about half the money I had already paid, because the room had been held for him. Hope this helps someone going forward.

September 24, 2024Hi Gervais, thank you for sharing your experience. We’re truly sorry to hear about the challenges you and your husband faced during his transition to memory care, and we hope your husband is doing better now. We understand how difficult this situation must have been and regret that we couldn’t meet your needs at the time. Your feedback is valuable, and we’ll use it to improve our processes.
The facility recently underwent a major renovation to update floors and common spaces. The staff are very caring and take time to get to know your parents. The common areas are great, housekeeping for the rooms are adequate but could be better. The staff from all departments are outstanding.

My dad has been adjusting well. They did promise a lot of construction would be complete by now and those are still way behind. He is getting good meals that he is happy with. His weekly laundry and cleaning service have been great. The only issue we have is his participation in activities, but that is more on him.

Our Mother is 101 and was recently diagnosed with dementia. We needed to find a place for her that would meet her needs. Vitality Living Baypoint did just that. Mother has her own room, activities that keeps her engaged with others, and caregivers that are experienced with people with dementia. She is in a safe and comfortable environment. We are pleased with our choice at Vitality Baypoint.

Vitality Living is close to where I live. Family is always welcome to join her at all activities. A bit of a rough start when the call buttons were not working but they finally have it fixed. Allowing her to have her pup.

August 21, 2024Hi Shelia, we are happy to hear this, and we greatly appreciate your feedback! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.
The staff is always friendly and attentive even outside the area where my loved one resides. I rarely pass a staff member that doesn’t greet me or my loved one. The building is older and in some places shows her age (as we all do) but they’re working hard and doing a great job to refresh. The services offered are numerous and comprehensive. They always have some type of entertainment or activities happening. And monthly they have gatherings with family members invited. The food is better than expected and the main dining room is lovely. My family member that requires more and specialized care is well taken care of. I am comforted knowing my family member is safe, fed healthy meals, gets personal and medical attention, socialization and stimulation. I would recommend.

My loved one was previously a resident at Vitality Living Baypoint Village and the overall experience was good. The housekeeping and the communication with the family were both just okay. The move in process was also okay. I would probably recommend this facility to others.

The management is not very good and therefore even good employees fail at their job because of poor direction.

March 26, 2024Hi TSA, thank you for the feedback! We would appreciate it if you could email us more details at info@myvitalityliving.com so we can address any concerns you may have.
There is a lot of construction going on right now and the place is a little not like it should be. I would give about a 3 even they are doing their best to take of us. We are short of servers which does not help and the food improved a great deal. I can't enjoy it because I'm on a low sodium diet. I'm comfortable in my apt and enjoy it. There isn't. Much activities because of the construction. Even though with all that's going on, it still operating the best that it can. Sorry I can't be more informative.

March 11, 2024Hi, we know that living through and around any construction is tough, and we greatly appreciate your feedback and understanding! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.
Most of the staff has been wonderful, especially [name removed, [name removed] and [name removed]. My dad had an incident where he needed someone right away and he had pressed his emergency button and it took them quite a long time but we brought it to the attention of everyone and I believe it's been much better. What I have seen of the food looks and smells great. My dad is a picky eater so it's hard to go by him. They are redoing a lot there like painting and new flooring, etc.

May 4, 2023Hi, it makes us happy to hear of great experiences like this. Thank you for your feedback!
I love the exercise program they have Monday, Wednesday and Friday - it is great for mingling and it is very nice company. Sometimes the kitchen staff seem a little unhappy and sometimes they run out of certain meal items but overall the staff are extremely friendly and the nurses are great. The rooms are spotless and the gazebo is really nice. I most certainly would recommend the Vitality Living community to other families.

A Place for Mom has scored Vitality Living Baypoint Village 9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
