My father lived there for almost 2 years until he passed away. He was blind, couldn't talk due to stroke, and eventually needed a wheelchair. We were under the previous care staff and they took pretty good care of him. His meds, his appts, and his meals were regulated. Being out of the city, we had to pay extra to have someone go with him to his appts. We only were upset once when the person did not take him to restroom and he had an accident. Also, clothes, money and snacks were taken but with the new director and staff those issues were addressed. He had laundry service but clothes were mixed up. His consistent personal care staff was kind and caring. The newer ones needed training. We asked for a night check on him and something must have happened or it frightened him. He could not tell us. We were able to skype him and keep an eye on him with a security camera 300 miles away. We are thankful that Vintage Garden existed for him in his last years and welcome the changes under the new director.... Read more

My loved one did not recieve physical therapy. Needed a skilled nursing facility, and was not able to find one. Medication was withheld from my loved one. There was a lack of follow-through and communication. It was not a good experience. The food was good. Overall, It was a tough experience for my loved one. The staff was not able to adequately take care of my loved one. I would look elsewhere, the service was a waste of money.

The Vintage Gardens was a nice place to tour. The people were all very friendly. The 2 main things we did not like were the stairs and the view. There was not much scenery for my mother and she did not want to have to take the elevator every time. Other than that, the place was very nice.
