My mom-in-law is thriving in her wonderful community! The owners & staff are the most genuine, compassionate, and go above, and beyond. They have taken the time with her to understand her, and encourage her to speak more. She had a stroke several years ago and struggles to communicate. Residents have told me she is doing much better saying their names, reading back Bingo numbers, expressing wants. After she fell and had spent several hours in ER, several staff members came to see how she was doing. That meant so much. The PT and other staff stay in communication with us regularly. She absolutely loves the activities daily! They are stimulating, and fun. If we are right in the middle of a visit, and it's time for Bingo, she just gets up and leaves us she's not late. We are ever grateful for everyone at the Village Manor. Lucky us!... Read more

This is an HONEST review of Village Manor of Ludington , Village Services, Village House or what ever they are going by today. I have toured this building and talked with other people about this company. Myself , others I have spoke to who have toured it or have/ had relatives in this building all feel and say the same thing over and over again. It is OVER PRICED, FALSELY ADVERTISED, THE OWNERS ARE FAKE FRIENDLY, BOTTOM LINE IS MONEY , MONEY , MONEY. The staff are not qualified to preform the duties expected of them and the turn over of the staff they have is constant , a revolving door as someone else posted earlier in the year. LOOK ELSEWHERE, LICENSED STAFF FACILITIES EXSIST AND UP FRONT INFORMATION AND HONEST ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS ALSO EXSIST IN OTHER ACTUAL MEDICAL , LICENSED CARE PROVIDING FACILITIES , THIS IS AN OVER PRICED ELDERLY FOSTER CARE FACILITY. VERY QUESTIONABLE GOINGS ON IN THIS BUILDING. THE HOME SERVICES ARE EVEN WORSE.

Representing itself as a professional medical facility with false advertisements and information. This is nothing more than a glorified foster care of the elderly home. It looks like a medical facility and is posing as one but the only licensing it has is for foster care. This facility has promoted a cleaning lady to a medication passing position prior to that staff member leaving , stating the position was too demanding and not what they wanted to do . The staff are not licensed care givers. The advertisements show and State there are transportation available, not the case , transportation is a city bus service that charges for the transport. The menu shown and described is false. The menu is generated a week or farther out in advance and there are no options or substitutions to it. Activities shown on web sites and in other advertisements is exaggerated, they have bingo, local person who come in to play music and a lot of puzzles. No outside trips or activities .

Price was a big point. Also easy to add on additional services to go from independent living to assisted and full time nursing care. Meals are seven days a week with breakfast and lunch included in the rent price. Coin laundry facilities on site. (Can add service for a fee) Light housekeeping weekly with sheets changed. Communication is great, especially regarding medications.

I've visited a lot of family and friends in semi-independent, assisted, and skilled nursing facilities over the years. I am grateful for many positive things that each one had. But the Village is something very special. We knew immediately, and I'm attributing it to the owners [name removed] and [name removed]. [name removed] dedicated hours on the phone with us about my husband's mom's needs. We felt inspired, cared for, and excited! She loved our tour of the place and so did we. I noticed that Dan greeted every resident by name, asked about situations he knew they were going through... embraced them or gave a little pat on the shoulder. Encouraging words to every individual! Mom has been there about a month and she's content, in a wonderful place with wonderful people. We felt rather overwhelmed trying to start the process. But your organization alleviated all of our anxiety. Mimi spent months helping us. [name removed] and [name removed] genuinely care so much about my mom-in-law's special needs. We can contact them day or night. You are all our angels.

It would be impossible to say how poorly my dad was treated here. They gave him two weeks and kicked him out, not idenitfying a single problem unique to assisted living facilities. The cycle of events which followed, the chaos in his life, the fear...It was brutal. I can't imagine remembering my father without the heavy regret of having entrusted his care to this facility.
Read MoreI would recommend the community if the community has openings. The community is very friendly. The food is good and my loved one enjoys it. The community has activities for the residents to participate in.

They go above and beyond what they need to do at Village Manor and they are doing everything they can especially during the pandemic. We toured several facilities, my mom really wanted an intimate, quiet, smaller community. We found that Village Manor fit the bill. Because they are small, they are able to cater to individual needs that a person has and are much more accommodating. Everybody knows everybody here. One time last year my mother fell in the hallway and they immediately picked her up and took her to ER. I was working over 100 miles away, when I got there, they had never left her alone. They had staff members that she knew stay with her until I was able to get there. It is a phenomenal facility and I cannot say enough good things about them.
