I picked them initially because the director there, [name removed} met with me and was SO helpful. He listened to everything I was going through with my grandpa and gave me good advice. It just felt like he really cared. Then their head nurse came out and visited my grandpa while he was still at the rehab center and she was so personable and friendly. She felt like an old friend. Then as my grandpa moved in, even their bus driver would greet me with a friendly hello every time I came by. So their staff is really exceptional, and my grandpa says the food is amazing (something very important to him). I toured other places but this one really stuck out to me. It felt livelier, always very clean, lots of amenities like a "hair salon", movie area, library, etc. and I think the price is reasonable. I'm so glad we went with them, and I'm so grateful for you guys calling me and helping me find a place when I was so stressed and had no idea what I was doing. You guys talked me out of doing one of those shared homes and looking back you guys were SO right. He would've hated that.... Read more

The resident themselves enjoyed the selection of activities to choose from and all the different celebrations. The common areas were very clean and tidy. However, residents apartment was not cleaned adequately each time. Resident complain a couple times only. Towards me and other family members staff was friendly. Especially from desk. When it comes to the care services, it started with first day there just out of rehab. No service for 8 to 10 days. Refused assistance because it was not on her level of care. The laundry was not picked up each week and laundered for a months. Resident enjoyed their meals very much. They enjoyed the new friends made. Resident was very active with many of the activities, so no complaints there. If she would have received the level of care they were paying for then I would say a 5. I believe if they would have communicated with the resident regarding the level of care the doctor ordered then possibly the resident would have known what to expect.

We have been unsatisfied with the care that our loved one has been given in certain instances. There has been a lot of turnover of staff, promises made but not kept, frustration with billing. We had high hopes for The Terraces but unfortunately it did not work out for our situation.

They were a lot friendlier when they were trying to get us to move in. They are very sweet with my mother though and she would tell you they are very friendly. It's just hit or miss for me. Some staff is great others not as much. Hard to comment on the activities. It seems like they have a lot of options my mom doesn't really participate in them only because she's very tired with her health issues. The options seem good though. Well. ..It's all expensive for sure. She has a lovely room with garden access so I think that's worth it. Her room cost a little more here but her care cost was much lower. Other places offered a lower room cost but placed her at a much high and costlier care level that really wasn't accurate for her. In fact because she didn't need a full tier 1 care level they included some extra services for her to justify the cost so to me that was very fair. It's really nice that a lot of the rooms are built around one of their 3 courtyards.

The people and residents are very nice. The common complaint I hear from them is cost and food quality/selection.

My loved one is currently a resident at The Terraces of Roseville. The friendliness with the front desk staff is good. The friendliness with the dining room staff is not so good. The food is also not that great. I would recommend this facility to others if they were on a budget.

We toured The Terraces of Roseville during our search for an Assisted Living facility for our loved one. This facility was great! It would have been our first choice, but a resident with a dementia diagnosis cannot live at this facility.
The Terraces of Roseville has great people working for them and that is reflected by the residents. The facility/staff were great during the whole decision process. They were full of information, they really care about the needs of the residents, and were very transparent. The staff is there to help and is positive. The apartments and common areas are clean, there are no lingering smells. They are in the process of upgrading all of the apartments. The place is safe, too. The food is good and there is a variety. We would recommend this facility to others. What set The Terraces apart from other facilities for us was the people, the residents, the brightness and cleanliness when you first walk in, the 24/7 person there in case of an emergency, and the food. They have it all.

When we toured The Terraces of Roseville, I thought it felt more like an apartment and not necessarily like it was for older people. It was a lot bigger than some of the other places we looked into, with three floors. There seemed to be quite a few people who drove and could go out on their own. So it seemed a bit more lively and youthful.
IF YOU ARE DECIDING TO CHOOSE THIS FACILITY REMEMBER THE APPEARANCE IS NOT WHY YOU ARE PLACING A FAMILY MEMBER THERE. THEIR CARE AND COMFORT ARE WHAT YOU SHOULD BE PAYING ATTENTION TO, MEALS ARE SERVED AT A SPECIFIC TIME ONLY, AND THERE IS NO ONE TO PROVIDE FOOD OUTSIDE THAT TIME. ROOM CLEANING AND BED CHANGING IS GOOD. THEY ARE SHORT-STAFFED ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT. DAY STAFF IS OK HOWEVER THE TURNOVER RATE AND UNTRAINED ATTENDANTS IS ALARMING. i WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY UNLESS YOUR PARENT IS CAPABLE OF MANAGING DAILY-LIFE ACTIVITY.

The executive director is doing a fabulous job and is very responsive. The apartments are outdated and need updates to the fixtures, cabinets, window treatments, heating and air conditioning. The dog park needs regular maintenance.

The staff have been helpful, kind, and caring. When you walk into the community it feels warm and welcoming. The residents receive the assistance they need. It is a good mix of residents that need assistance and still want their independence. This is a safe and comfortable community. The meals could use some work on options and taste. There are three meals a day served to the residents. It would be nice to see more vegan and other dietary restrictions available.

We chose Terraces because we were impressed with the way it looked and we thought the overall beauty of the facility would help with the transition from her home. All of the common areas are bright and spacious and homey feeling. The staff have been amazing. They all know mom by name, even the wait staff in the dining room. When my dad was passing they went above and beyond. They made spare rooms available to us, they sent trays to the room, they made all kinds of accommodations and we were so appreciative of that. They even have a private dining room for family and were proactive and set something up for us the day of his services. They have been very flexible. The residents have a space in front of their rooms and they are able to personalize it to make it their own. Mom plays bingo and she enjoys the puzzle room. They have a lot of outdoor areas to congregate as well. They have a tea garden and dog park too. I would highly recommend to others and already have.

We have had a great experience with The Terraces of Roseville, the person we placed here says he is very happy. Especially with the food, he said it is excellent. He is a big foody so that really says a lot. He has 2 cats and they have bene fantastic with them. There is one gal who comes into his room and the cats love her so much and always run up to her. Them being so good with the cats has been an unexpected surprise. There have been a few instances where they have been short staffed, but if he ever presses his button for help they have been very quick with their response time.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
