The Preserve

Our good friend was here for Rehab and Rebab dept. was great, however medical attention was sub standard. Our friend became very sick after a week and was declining. We asked for medical attention,that we felt she had pneumonia, finally on [date removed] an outside PA gave her a script for allergies and said her lungs were clear. She never had blood work, been checked for UTI, or had X-rays. [date removed] We went to her early am and asked them to call a Doctor. They said it is Christmas. I asked them to give her fluids she seemed dehydrated. Nurse said she was too busy. I had her transferred to hospital. On the way out the door the nurse said she is probably sepsis. Hospital found her lungs to be very infected and she had aspirated, she was sepsis, she passed away. Because one is older and has cognitive impairment, does not make them disposable. This is unaccetable!!!

my relative was transferred here from the hospital after a broken hip. She developed pneumonia within a few days and, despite alerts from her family, was neglected the care she required. The staff said she was fine and gave her Claritin??. She continued to decline and was routinely neglected. We then returned her to the hospital where she was gone within a week. This would not have happened had The Preserve done their job on time.

My mother was an inmate at this facility for nearly two years. While the facility itself is nearly new, the staff is generally inattentive. Things never seem to get done unless multiple calls are made, and multiple people are spoken with. Beware the attitudes from the staff here.
