Immediately you feel welcome, by the residents and the staff. The atmosphere is so inviting and it's more like a cruise than a care facility. Everyone there really cares and wants the best for you. My mother in law tells me all the time she loves living there.

Great facility and staff

This is a great place. Our mother has been a resident for a year an a half there. They are always willing to listen and to work with us in any way to help our mother. The nurses there have given me their personal numbers to call if we have any concerns and they call me with anything issues that arise. We have found the communication with us between the administration and nursing staff to be excellent. The CNAs and med techs are so kind, patient and loving towards our mother. They involve the residents family in so many activities that involve the whole family such as holiday parties, spotlights on the patients, breakfasts on the patio, art shows, etc The kitchen staff interacts with the residents like family. We watch interactions between staff and their patients in the hallway, at meals and activities. They show genuine interest and concern for everyone and laugh and talk with them and know them as individuals. Most of all my mother feels loved and cared for Highly recommend

Mom liked being there

My mom was only there a short time (21 days). I never was able to eat there but mom said she liked the food. Other than that I would give them 5s across the board. My only complaint with them was that it took a long time for the parent company to refund us for the days after her death that were paid for. The staff in North Ogden were great.

This facility is a very good place. Maintenance is a little bit lacking on some things, but that could be due to the pandemic and ability to get supplies. They do housekeeping often. The facility is clean. The meals are ok, mom complains sometimes, but I think they're ok. Communication with the family is ok, but they could handle a few things better, ie: billing. They do offer a good variety of activities and outings. I would absolutely recommend them to family and friends.

WOW, JUST WOW!!

my very sweet daddy ended up with Covid and was not able to live on his own anymore. I desperately looked for places and there was absolutely nothing out there that seem to fit, or that I was comfortable leaving him with. I reached out to The Lodge and met up with the Director here. He was so kind and so sweet and truly only wanted what was best for my dad. I knew the instant that I met [name removed]that this was the place for my dad. Once my dad met the staff absolutely every single staff member was incredible, kind, and respectful. from the day my dad moved in, everybody knew his name, what type of foods he liked, and his interests. in all the time we’ve been here I’ve never seen a staff member, flustered or in a rush with the amazing people who live here. Everybody here is friendly and outgoing, and treats everybody here like family. You can tell that the people who live here are very happy and are all treated outstanding! I wholeheartedly recommend The Lodge to everyone!

They've been very accommodating and have helped us in any way we've needed. They answer questions promptly. Everyone is so nice. I have nothing bad to say about them. They're just fantastic! My family member loves the food. She says the chef is really good, and they have a good variety for an assisted living facility. Also, she is gluten intolerant, and they are very accommodating with that. She's still getting used to going to the activities, but they have at least five activities a day, which is incredible. Another great thing about them is they allow small pets.

Bright and Friendly Place

The facility is definitely nice, clean, bright. Its in a nice and convenient. location in a quiet area of town, yet it's still close by to restaurants ,and there's a Walmart less than a mile away. They have lots of amenities - several rooms for different activities, whether it be crafting or sewing, etc. Or there's a movie theater, and a separate library with books that the residents themselves help take care of. They have a little exercise room, and a beauty salon. There's a nice lobby area with a piano, and folks get together to sing every now and then. Outside they have a community garden area, and paved walkways to walk around the building and get some air. There's just so much to do. They have a lot of prearranged activities - planned art classes, guests that come in to provide entertainment, wheelchair repair services for free. They put out a calendar with 5-6 things per day for residents to participate in. The staff is super friendly, and they know everyone's name. One area for improvement is communication with residents and families in terms of general policies, and particularly in the time of Covid. When they were on lockdown, we didn't always know when we came there to visit. But we picked them over other places because of the feeling you get when you walk in. It's just so bright, friendly, and pleasant compared to other places.

The Best in the Vicinity

It is very new and very clean, which is very important to me. The facility is updated. The food could be better, but I realize it's hard for the chef to please everyone. It has three levels of care, so you don't have to move if you need assisted living or memory care down the road. I think the staff are a little difficult to communicate with and can be almost rude. And one of the major issues is they say they will do something and then don't do it. But it's still one of the best facilities in the area.

My sister toured and she was very impressed with The Lodge. The only reason we did not pick it was because the facility itself is huge and we thought mom may get lost.

Outstanding memory care

I cannot say enough about the quality of care my wife of 69 years is receiving at The Lodge in general, but particularly in their memory care facility. While I have occasion to interact with those who have their family member in assisted living, fellow visitors with whom I meet visiting their loved ones feel as strongly as I do. My definition of quality is the difference between what you expect and what you get. The Lodge is way beyond what I expected. From [name removed] the director on down to the staff in memory care, they all fawn over my wife. One of the front office staff even pursued getting us through the daunting task of dealing with our Long Term Insurane company set up and approving our claims. LTC insurance companies can be anal in the approval process, and from what I have learned, they are all that way.
