Very nice facility, bright and friendly. Patients in Memory Care unit seem happy and engaged. We chose this facility because we felt my mother would feel more at home here.

Amanda is an excellent person to head the team of caregivers. She cares so much! She will not put up with mistreatment of the residence real or imagined. All of the caregivers there truly love the residents. Both of my parents have dementia and they treat them with dignity and respect. I found a larger facility closer to my house but could not bring myself to make the move. I could not move them because of the love the caregivers give them it's special very special. Amanda [removed], Jennifer, )eigh, and Mark are the caregivers that stand out in my mind for my family.

It's been wonderful. We are very pleased. I like how they are concerned and take care of the residents. We liked the overall appearance, and how nice and clean it is on the inside. We like just how friendly everyone is. They were not only comparably priced but, they were the nicest, and the least expensive, of all the places we looked at.

Oxton Place of Gainesville does an absolutely wonderful job, I'd give them top marks across the board. The staff is friendly, professional, and very accommodating. We're completely satisfied with our experience, and I would recommend them highly.

We are very happy at Oxton Place of Gainsville. One thing I would have them improve on is when they get new residents in they need to have someone to help orient them. When we came in on the first day there was no one around to help. They didn't even get her medicine on the first day. Overall though it has been a good experience. They just need a better system for new residents coming in.

Our 90 year old mother recently moved into the facility. It's a pleasure to watch her eating and socializing. Her room is beautiful and she has the privacy of her own shower and assistance if she chooses. The place is lovely and the staff is friendly and helpful.

The medical staff, with the trained individuals that Oxton Place hired, are [removed] to take care of people who are in need at a certain level. The have a scale system, 1 - 6, on which the evaluate a resident's care and they do not have the staff to handle some of that.

Oxton Place provides individualized care based on the needs of the residents. They are also very interested and accommodating to the family members. The food looked delicious; the meals were well prepared.

We're very pleased with how things have turned out with Oxton Place of Gainesville! The place switched to new owners earlier this year, and they seem to be doing a very good job with the place! The owners are on site fairly often, and really seem to care about making it a good place for the residents. They've also hired some very caring and friendly staff! The facility itself is well kept and clean, and every time I visit Mom and Dad rave about how good the food is!

I toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. Oxton Place seemed very upscale! The facility was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. However, the price was much higher than the other communities we were looking at. We ended up selecting another community, but if money was no object this is somewhere I would have considered for my loved one.

My mother is doing very well at Oxton Place of Gainesville. I really appreciated how they took my mother right away from the hospital. They came and got her from there so that the transition process was very smooth and accommodating. One thing where I feel like they could improve would be to encourage the residents to get out of their room and be a part of the community and take part in the activities more.

We had somewhat of a mixed experience with Oxton Place of Gainesville. It didn't end up being a great fit for my loved one, and the facility seemed to be going through some growing pains. We liked the director, and the staff all seemed friendly, but there we some obvious disorganization. Maintenance issues took a long time to clear up, as they were sharing maintenance staff with another facility. They had a good amount of activities, but since my loved one was higher functioning than most of the residents there they were not really appropriate for him. It wasn't a bad place, but it isn't somewhere I would recommend to those with higher functioning loved ones.

Our mother has been a resident of Oxton Place (formerly Summer's Landing) for over a year. In that time, we have been more than pleased with the attitude of the staff and with the care they have provided. The facility is always clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. The residence was purchased by new owners earlier this year, and they have been in the process of upgrading the services and the facility. The residents are encouraged to participate in activities designed for stimulation and fun. Although there have been several personnel changes in the past few months, the level of care has remained high, with the staff being constantly alert and aware of changes in our mother's health.

My Mother in law was able to live out the remaining months of her life in a safe and interesting place with family atmosphere. With increasing health issues and needs that we could not provide in our home, our parent needed a place that was clean, bright and loving with activities and fellowship with other residents. Her children and other visitors who were able to see the facilities always commented to me about how clean and attractive the rooms and common areas are. Mom enjoyed activity time games and especially the craft room and trips out to eat on the bus. The on site hair salon was a bonus especially during cold weather. I also appreciated the staff who could often times talk with her when she would get anxious and calm her down. They were a pleasure to work with and I am grateful for the care Mom received. Thanks to you all!
