The Hampshire

Living at the Hampshire has been the best for my father in so many ways. He has felt all of the benefits of independence while living in a community setting. He has time to live his life without the daily struggles of housekeeping or maintenance. His meals are well prepared and served on a regular schedule. So much of the operational structures the Hampshire has in place, has helped my father to remain independent well into his ninteys. The staff and management are friendly and helpful because they care about the Hampshire residence and their loved ones.

I really feel good, with the staff taking care of this unusual situation, putting the residents safety first. As difficult as it is to not be able to visit as often or as I would like, I can be sure my mom, [name removed], is well cared for. Her spirits are better than mine ! Thank you to all at the Hampshire! And let’s hope for an end soon.

Everyone at the Hampshire has just been wonderful, helpful and understanding. Going above and beyond from the house cleaning and maintenance to the office staff. I feel very comfortable with my mom being there. I would like to give a special shout out to [names removed]! Thank you for keeping us informed during this difficult time!!

I really like to live here. This is my home for the last 2 years. My complaint is the food and housekeeping. Since we get our food delivered it is not very good and the portions are very small. Since I live here my place was never thoroughly vacuum cleaned. And bathroom and entry hall floors get washed seldom. The staff is very nice and hard working they follow instructions My complaint is not about them.

The staff, from management to the weekend part time servers, have showed through their friendly optimistic attitudes and efficient diligence in keeping The Hampshire residents safe, informed, and entertained that they all really do care about our wellbeing. During these many months I have not heard one discouraging word from any worker. I am always greeted with a smile. Truly amazing and much appreciated.

Really liked their facility. Nice open space. Nice rooms. Have decided not to relocate to Merced

I have always enjoyed reading about the Royal family. When I moved into The Hampshire I felt a little like royalty because, I all of a sudden had a gardener, a chef, a baker, a dishwasher and house cleaning services. I have a movie theater downstairs and an exercise room. We have entertainment regularly. Special days like barbeques, even with live hula dancers, opera singer and country singers. What a great life meeting interesting people and bonding with The Hampshire community. My favorite thing here is homemade bread made everyday and served warm at lunch

I really enjoy living here. I have made a few friends and I hope to be here for a long time. This place is much more affordable then any other and has a lot more comforts of home then most. Management and staff are very efficient and kind ([names removed]). They go around at meals and through out the day and ask how people are doing and if there is any thing they can do for them they always are smiling. The food is very good here. Every thing here is kept clean and taken very good care of. House cleaning is provided once a week and there are washers and dryers available for your laundry free of charge. Maintenance staff is available everyday. There is an exercise room, a pool table, screening room, and a library with a great selection of books. A bus is available that will take you to Doctor appointments and any place you may need to go. Lots of activities are set up for the residents to participate in so that we can get to know each other better. Recently we had a very good opera singer perform here his name was [name removed]. He was one of the best I've ever heard.

This community seemed clean when we visited. The person that took us on tour was nice and knowledgable. This community does allow pets and they seem to offer some activities. I just did not get the same friendly feeling as I did with the community we chose.

I did not tour this community in person because it was more independent .The gentleman I spoke with on the phone was so nice and friendly. He even called after we declined a tour just to check-up and see how my in-laws were doing. I felt that was very thoughtful of him.

This community signed a contract with my father and I had to fly him across two states to get him at this community. The next day they kicked him out. It was awful for us. They made it very clear they just want the money. I would rate the experience -1,ooo.

Our experience with The Hampshire has been a very positive one, so far. The staff has been friendly, accommodating, and a big help through the whole process. I'd give them high marks across the board.

This community is excellent. The staff is outstanding. The food is very good and appealing. They do have activities for those who want to be active. I would recommend this community for other families.

I would highly recommend The Hampshire. They have staff that encourage the residents to participate in activities. My mother at the time has not been active in them but the staff still tries to a level of comfort for her. The food is good it's healthy and the portions are just right.

Joe at the Hampshire truly cares about each person looking for a place. He extended his frieindship and made the decision easy for my dad. Now he is in a community where he can remain active and receive 3 meals a day, resteraunt style. So he has a variety and a choice. The premises are well maintained and everyone is helpful and conscientious. Thanks "A place for Mom" my dad is now taken care of and happy to be at the Hampshire! :)

I love this place Debra the Office manager is a great person to work with. I toured it with a friend and the place looks wonderful.

The staff is exceptional. They listen to your needs and personalize your stay with them. We knew nothing about retirement living and they took us on a very precise tour and then the staff sat with us and we asked a bunch of questions. Never once did we feel pressured for time. They really took their time and were even very personal with us and what we will come across regarding the elderly.

I think The Hampshire has done really well at helping my parents to adjust to living there. The staff is friendly and they try to make my loved ones feel welcome. The facility is in a nice, secure location.

They've done an excellent job so far at The Hampshire! I had to do my search for a senior community remotely, and the staff here really did an excellent job explaining things and staying in contact with me throughout the whole process. When my loved one moved in they were incredibly warm and welcoming, everyone from the housekeeping staff to the administration welcomed her to her new home! The facility itself is clean and well kept, and they do a great job looking after the people who live here. I highly recommend them!

I found the Hampshire through the services of A Place for Mom. Everyone was prompt in returning calls, thorough with answers, encouraging through this process. We move her into her place this weekend. We have found the Hampshire to be clean, and a very positive atmosphere. Everyone on staff has worked to make this move a good one.
