We moved my very reluctant dad into the Grove 2 months ago. We have no regrets. The staff arranged for him to have a designated table from day 1 so he wouldn't have to figure out where to sit. Luckily enough, that group was welcoming and he looks forward to dining with them at every meal. About meals - the dining room has small tables that seat from 2 to 6 or 8. They are set with cloth napkins and glassware. The food is made to order. There is an auxiliary menu to order from if one doesn't want the main entree. Fresh fruit and snacks are always available in the common area. There is a huge variety of activities, trips to the opera and fishing, candy bingo and a screened in porch. Meals, weekly laundry and light cleaning are included in the monthly fee. My brother and I were very worried that Dad would be miserable with the move, but knew he needed to be with other people on a daily basis. Dad is happier than he has been in years and his friends and family definitely notice!... Read more

There were people that are just like my loved one at The Grove at Midtown. She was able to fit in nicely there. Also had some independence that she has always had.

Overall amazing staff who offer residents daily guidance, support and encouragement. A vital part of this community is the excellence and variety in ACTIVITIES. SPECIAL high honors are directed to [name removed]. She is VERY positive and always has a smile. One of the highlights for my wife (new resident) is the Sunday morning Worship Service. We start with a hymn sing, which greatly encourages her because she has been playing the piano in church and camp settings almost her whole life. Now she is able to bless other residents with her piano playing. [name removed] has multiple talents as she leads in various group activities, special projects, group outings and even helping to organize a PROM night which the residents LOVED. She organized donations of prom dresses which made each resident feel VERY SPECIAL! [name removed], my wife, family and I salute and THANK YOU. May God continue to give you the strength, insights and energy to carry on with enthusiasm.

My mom moved in a few months ago and the experience has been amazing. Today, we joined her for chair Zumba and trivia! This has been a wonderful environment for her. The activities are amazing and [name removed], the activities director, has a wonderful gift of interacting with the residents and brightening each persons day! She goes out of her way to continuously spread joy and kindness to everyone. We thank God for the Grove.

My mom moved into the Grove at Midtown in [date removed], and we could not be more pleased with all the care but especially the daily activities planned for the residents. The three activity directors are kind and energetic, but most importantly they truly create a personal relationship with every resident. My mom is always made to feel special and gets more hugs than I give her! The activities themselves keep the residents busy if they choose to attend, and if residents are a little hesitant, the activity directors do everything to try to remind and urge them to take part. In addition to consistent daily activities such as exercise, bingo, crafts, etc. special occasion activities such as outings, musical guests, and parties are sprinkled throughout each month. They do everything they can to throw the best special occasion parties. Just in May they hosted an all-day Cinco de Mayo celebration and put on a "senior" prom. I couldn't be more pleased with the activities at The Grove.

We toured The Grove at Midtown Senior Living when searching for Assisted Living for my loved one. Both our tour and facility were excellent. However, it was pretty pricey.
It was nice. Seemed more like a huge hotel. But dad would've been on the 3rd floor. I felt like it didn't feel homey, and close knit. And was more like I said, a resort hotel type with a lot of residents. It was not the right style fit for my parents.
We've been happy with The Grove at Midtown. The main thing - they keep the facility very clean, and their communication is very good. I would highly recommend them to other families.

This facility is expensive, but the location was perfect for our family and it is smaller than some (which was important to us). The staff is very caring and friendly. The food is good. They also keep my loved one active. She's happy here.

This was a nice community, but it had more of the nursing home feel.
We have been very pleased with the services provided by The Grove. The staff communication with the family is proactive in communicating about loved one. There is always an opportunity to communicate with the staff as well. There are three meals a day served to the residents and there are choices to choose from. Some of the activities available include bingo, table games, singing, and more for the residents to participate in. The staff has been very good at engaging my loved one in socialization and other activities available in the community.

We toured with The Grove at Midtown and it looked to be a great place. It seemed like the residents here needed more care than my loved one did and that was the reason we decided against this facility. There did not seem to be a whole lot of activities going on and I wanted my loved one to be social and interact with others.

They told us everything and showed us everything that we wanted to hear - however once we signed on that dotted line and moved our loved one in, it was completely different. It was a total bait and switch situation, no help was ever offered to our family.
Everything is good at this community but it is a little high. It is not bad but just expensive for memory care.

A MUST TOUR COMMUNITY!! A hidden gem up on a hilltop in desirable Midtown, easy access to everything. The beautiful renovation gives the community such a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff is very accommodating and treat the residents like family. I noticed this on my tour when a staff member would greet a resident by name as we passed them in the hallway. The staff on my mother's memory care floor are wonderful. So patient with each resident, which can be a very difficult task at times. The activities coordinator goes above and beyond her call of duty. Calls me with updates on Mom every month, even calls to tell me stories about her that make us both laugh. I have open communication with the nurse for questions which is very comforting. She is very professional and gets results:) Mom enjoys the food, which is a difficult task at times for Dementia patients...she really enjoys the desserts! My father can enjoy being her husband again, not her caregiver! Thank you:)

This is a beautiful community. My loved one was happy here during their stay. They have redecorated and freshly painted the community. The only concern was the call button would take longer to get a response to the residents than anticipated.

We visit once a week and love it every time that we go. My loved one loves the food. We ate there for thanksgiving and it was fabulous. They have been working on a remodel for a long time and it is finished and everything is really clean and new. They took over from another company and re did everything.
