It was brand new when we checked in, so time will tell how things go moving forward, but during our time there, everything was as I expected. My Aunt was cared for completely! The staff did all they could do to keep her comfortable and engaged. The food was pretty good too. My Aunt suffered from dementia. She was a big worry for our family. Once at the Goldton, a huge weight was lifted from our shoulders. They were monitored closely. They did great!... Read more

things are OK however money has been gone missing along with laundry that has never been returned. They don’t seem to care or have an apology for it. It’s just the way it is Attitude.

I don't live there but most of the people living there seem to enjoy it. The most complaints are about the food. Also suggest that there be more activities scheduled. It has a smaller memory care with more attention given to residents, new building, nice amenities

My loved one lives at The Goldton at Venice. The staff is very friendly and communicates with us well. The housekeeping is great! No complaints. The move in process was perfect. No hiccups at all. The food is good, I eat in their dining room often. I am served the same food as the residents. I would highly recommend The Goldton at Venice to others. It's not too big, but it's large enough to offer all that anyone should need. I am really pleased with every aspect of the Goldton! I don't have anything to compare it to, as this is my first rodeo concerning elder health care. But I have talked with several others and speaking for myself, the Goldton is everything I expected and more.

My favorite aspect of the Goldton is the friendly sense of familiy that emantes, from both the residents and the staff alike. Three dining venues provide some very good food options. There are numerous planned activites to help fill ones day.

Staff at the Goldton focuses on the family of residents they care for. Dad is so pleasant with the team in his new home. He feels safe and respected. A beautiful home-full of a family lifestyle

We are quite happy with the experience. Staff are extremely helpful, friendly and patient with the residents. Facilities are brand new, and clean. Dinner hours are a bit limited (they close at 6:30) but may extend longer when they fill up the remaining apartments.

The chef sits down with you or a family member to ask specifically what you like. He caters to individual needs and builds a meal plan weekly for them. If someone isn't picky, the food looks good and changes weekly. Communication from the director is on a texting/calling basis. They are close with family members. The staff has changed a lot over the last few weeks, but that's part of the growing pains. The staff is good now. The housekeeping is once a week. They do simple stuff and are quick. The activities are slowly getting better.

A Place for Mom has scored The Goldton at Venice 9.6 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
