The Gables at Spring Lake Assisted Living

The Gables community was great, it was clean and the staff members and care services were absolutely fantastic. They would be a ten out of ten. The activities were great, they made every effort to keep things going. They offered Church, games, movies and exercise classes. Our loved one also has a nice spacious room, with a separate living room and small kitchen.

We like all the staff and cleanliness of the building.

Comfortable accommodations. Relatively quiet. Enthusiastic management. Welfare of residents is their priority. Lacks landscaping - but grass is well kept. Dietary offerings lack imagination.

My children found this place for me on the internet. I was at Spring Lake for rehab.

I came to the Gables in 2016. I had hoped to have my 2 Shih Tzu companionship. [Name removed] my husband died with one. That didn't work out and I wasn't happy about that, but I am ok without that and am happy here!

Me and my daughter toured many nursing homes before I decided on The Gables. I love my apartment! Also when I saw the residents I knew this place was for me. My girls love the location. I think we're a great crew now.

Qualified, helpful, passionate. Just seem to be shorthanded at times. Dining hall is blasted cold at times, making mealtime not enjoyable. Very hard to get a haircut. Medical transport is fine.

Has real good employees. They are very pleasant and very helpful. Have a great director, events person, and good nurses. Food needs to be improved upon.

I really enjoy living here. There is a nurse on staff 24 hours a day every day of the week. The Gables is very clean and modern. They have a beauty salon here offering services 3 days a week. There is a weekly trip to Walmart. They provide transportation to and from doctor appointments at no extra cost. The entire staff is friendly and kind. They will also do one load of laundry a week at no extra charge. There is a worship service every Sunday. I am very happy with the way I am assisted.

This is one of the better places that I’ve seen. My friend was here briefly and something happened that caused her to go to the emergency room. They were able to move her to a rehab facility immediately after she was out of the ER. The staff is great and wonderful and, in fact, the rehab is connected to the facility and even the nurses come to visit her when they don’t have to. They have to bring the food to her for a few reasons, but they’re really taking care of her. They give her medicine and they’re really trying hard not to move her to a nursing home. They provide a lot of activities like all kinds of games, they’ve done wine and cheese parties, entertainers will come in, and I think there’s even a bible study. It’s a smaller community and the nurse gives them her cell phone number in case they need anything, so everything is really tight knit and it’s a really open area. As soon as she’s done with rehab, we’re hoping to get her moved back in.
