October 16, 2024Hi there, Our team aims to provide the highest quality care for every resident, and we are so happy to see that they've delivered at The Bellingham at Orchard A Memory Care Residence. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this feedback.
I can't praise the caregivers enough. Or any of the staff that interacts with the people who live there. The admin is fairly good with the exception of the business office manager. He is incredibly rude and extremely unprofessional

An outside caregiver warned me that his health was failing way before staff did. I would not recommend this place to anyone. A patient escaped the facility one day when I was there.

I would give a 5 on most all just wish the cost wasn't so high but...He loves it there and enjoys having people around. He doesn't get involved too much with activities but does enjoy the chapel time on Wednesdays and spends a lot of time just walking around and "working" at what we don't know as his mind keeps him busy "working". I thank the Lord for his care at Orchard!!

August 11, 2023Hi Karen, Our team aims to provide the highest quality care for every resident, and we are so happy to see that they've delivered at The Bellingham at Orchard A Memory Care Residence. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this feedback.
Bad start for my loved one as they fell 3 times in the first week and then spent 2 nights in the hospital My loved one is doing good now that we have worked things out. They staff are doing a good job and everyone knows my loved one's name and call my loved one by it. The staff are doing a good job. It is a good place. There could be some work to improve the cleanliness of the eating area. There are three meals a day. The staff are easy to talk with from the aides all the way up to the Director.

March 17, 2023Thank you for taking time to write a review. We strive to provide excellent care to all our residents. We will share your kind words with our staff.
I value The Bellingham at Orchard. Great staff. Great programming. Good food. Supportive. I am dismayed by the cost and the for-profit system of most senior care in general. But given that, I value The Bellingham for its transparency to me as an adult child of one of their residents and their great ability to hire compassionate staff.

Response from The Bellingham at Orchard Memory Care
November 30, 2022Thank you for sharing your experience with our caregivers. They strive to treat each of our residents like family. Your kind words mean a lot to us.
Their suggestion on how to get a person here was very nice and helpful. It went really smoothly. Everything is going well from what we can tell. The facility is very clean and the staff have been wonderful. It would be nice if they had one day for gospel music for those interested in religion. But they do have exercise classes, sing alongs, etc. Our loved one is diabetic and they are trying to improve the menu. He is safe and getting great care, but it is very expensive. I would recommend The Bellingham at Orchard Memory Care.

Fingernails so Overgrown,(I can only Imagine what his toe nails look like) Hadn't Shaved in Days. Food All over the front of Clothing. This was Not the PROUD MAN I Had seen little over a month away.

The staff is great and the care takers are very attentive and really work on trying to assist people with memory care issues like maintaining and supporting them. They do a lot of activities, and our mother really enjoys the women's tea. They also just set up an art room which our mother enjoys because she used to be a painter. Our mother is fine with the food, but our father sometimes doesn't really care for it.

We have been very happy with our experience with The Bellingham at Orchard Memory Care. What really stuck out to us was the friendliness of the staff and the residents and the fact that they didn't have anything to hide. The best part about this community so far would be how much the staff members do for the residents. My sister loves the piano and during covid, they made sure she had access to one. They really care about their residents and take the time to form relationships. I would absolutely recommend.

My sister is not the easiest person to work with but The Bellingham staff is great with her. They know the littlest details, for example, she doesn't like hot or cold drinks - she wants them tepid. The staff makes sure she gets her drinks, whether it is at a meal or just a request just like she likes them.

December 12, 2019Thank you so much for your kind words about our community. We absolutely love having your sister with us. She has made such an impact; everyone looks forward to Thursday band practice so they can hear her play the piano!
You have great nurses and CNAs who really have a caring giving attitude There needs to be better communication about the residents between the nurses and CNAs, med tech, dining shift change

Think health issues etc - should only be shared with spouse or resident by nurses. Residents own razors should be used on him. Straight razors only used on one person (throw away) Need new meal covers Not all activ dir have same gifts they need to be able to use what they excel in more variety Would like to see more interaction to Salish residents TVs on good up beat channels good to see homey look Mags all around etc would like to see more stuff to access for residents Need a time for Chr Hymns or at least mixed with other music Need to see an aid accessible at all times if needed

My mother is much happier at The Bellingham at Orchard. She needed more help and encouragement than she was previously receiving at her former assisted living residence and she receives that support now.

My mom has been here a few months with early late stage Alzheimers, after living at a different memory care facility for a year. Bellingham at Orchard has been an excellent place for her. The staff are friendly and helpful, and despite my mom's behavioral challenges, she has been treated very nicely. They make sure mom eats enough to keep weight on from her endless walks around the facility. Administrative staff is easy to work with, too, and I know my mom is very safe and cared for.

My husband was at Orchard for the last few weeks of his life. He was well cared for and his only complaint was that I couldn't take him home. The staff always seemed to know where he was when I would arrive to visit and if he was participating in the planned activities there. It may have been helpful if he had more physical/mental therapy to maintain what little strength he had. There are no RN's on staff or MD's so the level of care in that regard was not available there. He enjoyed the interaction with the attendants and helpers and was generally well cared for.

I have had nothing but excellent experiences with the people and facility at The Bellingham at Orchard. The executive director, [name removed] and the rest of the staff calmly and kindly assisted us to move my mom in on short notice. Our family was really struggling to provide appropriate care for my mom when she moved in. She was immediately made to feel welcome, we were reassured, and they were consistently available to answer our questions. My mom says "everyone here is kind to me and I have made good friends." After only one week living there, she told me she was settled there and appeared calm and comfortable. This is a far cry from the distress, anxiety and anger we had been experiencing at home. I recommend this business for their committed and caring staff. It is the people who made this a home for my mom.

When I went to tour the facility it was very vibrant and active. A lot of the residents were up and walking about. The facility itself was extremely spacious. I unfortunately had to take my Husband out of another facility, but if he had to go back, I would pick this facility. There were also a lot of residents in the Alzheimer’s group. Everyone just seemed so active. There was nothing that seemed strange or concerning to me. I would recommend this facility.
